Dawn of the Infinite Community Day Event

I thought the mega dungeon was dropping 437 ilvl gear on the hero track 4/5.

So uhh… what are said rewards, anyway?

There seems to be mixed information going around. Some articles are saying and showing they’ll be 402 ilvl to 421 ilvl to 437 ilvl, some articles are saying they can be upgraded while other articles are saying they can’t.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves in time.

It would be pretty dumb to award any gear in S2 that can’t be upgraded along the paths they introduced in S2.

Agreed, I would be pretty miffed if they can’t be upgraded.

Big shout-out to Blizard for including me in the list of creators, thank you very much!

Super excited for the new mega-dungeon and can’t wait to run it with y’all!

Yes, this is separate to that ^.^

hangs head in shame at the typo

I want them to know. In fact I want to see the look on their face when you tell them

I suspect the “rewards” is just in-game loot if you run the dungeon, which of course can be done without Twitch. That would likely explain why there’s no specificity.

Perhaps so, but a clarification (or just editing the article) would be nice since the phrasing seems rather ambiguous.

Um. I thought this was a troll post before I noticed it was from Blizz. Now I’m just wondering what they’re talking about.

I agree, although from their perspective, they probably don’t want to clarify because doing so would effectively kill the event

Streamers apparently aren’t allowed to spoil it either.

…and then?

Was this the whole purpose of making the mega-dungeon overtuned and inaccessible, to try and force a community event and social interaction instead of players just jumping in and doing the new content?

The M+0 version of a dungeon should never be tuned more highly than the M+2 version of that same dungeon in the subsequent season—especially when there are going to be story quests encouraging players into said dungeon, and rep and currency tied to it.
