while equipping gear that gets your character below an average of 619 (like unequipping / using lower items in low stat value slots) does not trigger any scaling and lets you use things like a maxed weapon or fully scaled up trinket.

So if I take my wrists and cloak off I’ll technically be 600 ilvl and get to keep my otherwise full bis 684 gear? That’s hilarious.
