Teldrassil wasn’t a true world tree, like Nordrassil, because it didn’t recieve a blessing from Nozdormu. I recall the narration that would play when I made a Night Elf and think, “Well, this place is doomed.”. If the tree received the blessing of Merithra, it could become a new world tree. Perhaps not one that would return the immortality, but it would be more than the farce that Teldrassil was.
sir dwarf, I think you’re a bit confused.
What? You guys have that tree in Stormwind Park. Didn’t Anduin at least give you some blankets too?
Alextrasza and Ysera did wind up blessing it at one point, so it had at least 2/5.
It would be amazing if we go to the Dragon Isles, get the blessing of the Green flight first (obviously), and then have to go around getting the blessing of the other flights, before eventually returning to Kalimdor and planting it somewhere. Then we get a giant new world tree with a beautiful Night Elven city with updated models, and Night Elves get new additional customization options! And Paladins while we are at it!
Had no idea that Teldrassil was blessed by any of the aspects. Don’t know who does the voice now, but I’d love to hear Martin Sheen reprise his role as Nozdormu to give some snide comments to the Nelfs about this new tree.
You really think he’d make snide comments to them after they had most of their population murdered? I feel like Tyrande would go crazy again it’d be the final straw LOL
Now, to be fair, Martin Sheen has never to my knowledge been officially confirmed as his voice. For the record he’s uncredited in WoW, Wowpedia says he is believed to be the voice, Wikipedia says he is, and his IMDB page has no listings for Warcraft.
All that being said, I’d be shocked if it wasn’t him as the person doing the voice is spot on.
Anyway, Nordormu hasn’t been relevant since Cataclysm. If it is him, then I see no reason why it wouldn’t ultimately still be him in Dragonflight (especially if the theories of Murozond potentially getting involved turn out to be true)
Safe?
I wouldn’t say that anywhere is…“safe”.
I think we have to wait 2-3 expansions for the new World Tree .
Safer than the corruption which took all other world trees. It has the powers needed to feed it and the souls to protect it.
LOL,I get the sylvanas line.
And give Undead Ironforge. Cause lord knows there are no more alliance to defend it.
I liked Darnassus but since Nordrassil has healed they could move the capital there with some updates if a new world tree doesn’t happen. It would be kinda cool to have a new capital city on the Dragon Isles but I don’t think they’d put it there.
Since it looks like Gilneas and Undercity (or maybe they’ll just stay in Brill?) might be habitable in the future maybe gnomes, trolls, and goblins might finally get their own cities. Gnomeregan supposedly was cleared out ages ago. Is anything left of Kezan? Helping goblins reclaim it could give us the South Seas expansion.
They could revamp Echo Isles for the Darkspear trolls and maybe phase the starting experience.
It would be nice if players got to help/see the capitals get (re)established.
Unfortunately this is the path Blizzard chose. They never should have burned Teldrassil down but here we are. You can’t just let something like that go unanswered.
I don’t want another world tree but it looks like that is the direction the game is going to take.
It’s been answered though. Like, so many times. They even have other wold trees and villages in the world.
lol
lmao even
-All of ardenweald’s quests
-Winter queen’s Seed
-Ysera interactions throughout 9.1-9.2.5
There’s other things important in this world that should be going on other than the nelves getting another starting zone.
Yes this was required after Teldrassil was burned down at the Nelves were genocided.
There are. Elves having the storyline of something of that magnitude be continued and not ignored isn’t detracting from anything else. If anything Forsaken were given priority on showing them reclaiming their home over what the elves got in the patch. So I’m really not getting what you’re trying to point out here. Yeah a lot of content has been devoted to elves because a lot of weight was given to Teldrassil being destroyed. It was the entire marketing campaign for BFA.
Yet we didn’t have 3 expansions of drawn out belf story after arthas genocided them. We had one pack that wrapped up a conflict.
It’s time to move onto other stories.
The main issue here that I’m talking about is how so much druid lore /only/ fixates on night elves when the class really needs some breathing room for other races.
