WoW’s premiere Orc guild, Darkwolf Clan, had their first large scale encounter with the Dwarves of Clan Battlehammer, the oldest and largest of the Dwarven guilds on WoW.
Darkwolf Chieftain Kul’gosh Ironhowl had this to say after the fight:
“Darkwolf Clan rules over ALL lands. We have control over all lands north of Loch Modan. We raid your southern lands of the Eastern Kingdoms freely with little to no push back. The Orcs are flooding into our ranks. We are bringing a new way of thinking and a new dawn to our oppressed populations and bringing forth an Orcish power that hasn’t been seen in decades. We will do whatever necessary to keep this true. Undermine’s streets and it’s resources belong to the Darkwolves and who ever we LET enter our domain. If you wish to keep being dead in the headlines of our articles, keep trying to push back. Your petty ambushes are no match for the treachery we will muster upon you.”

“So, yeah, Turalyon? These guys aren’t with us, feel free to glass them with your orbital space laser whenever you feel like it. The Horde’s sticking to the damn cease fire. Okay? Okay. Be safe, have fun, carve a nice trophy for your son.”
Honestly? I don’t think the space laser works anymore. Mother of light is dead. The batteries can’t charge enough to blast. The army of light joined the Alliance because their crusade is over. They’re just regular people now.
The Vindicar is the Alliance’s bluff and I’m calling it. We’ll never see it again, unless their use of it also sacrifices the ship. One of those scenarios where its like “yeah we can use the cannon to destroy the void leviathan headed for Azeroth, but it will destroy the ship because of the power required.” And some Draenei you forgot about since Legion will heroically pilot the ship to its doom.
You’re welcome in Undermine but we recommend not using the oil as warpaint. Nice job in your battle against clan Battlehammer.
@harada Yeah, we are cross server. On Emerald Dream, Wyrmrest, and Moon Guard. We believe all should be able to join us and bring all the different server’s cultures together!
I mean, I assume it can hold enough of a charge to keep the Portal Network the Army of Light has got going to keep control of Argus from the Legion remnants, and to maintain their link to Azeroth.
And we just found big magical crystals that generate Light and Void energy, and the Arathai seem like they’d be very interested in the Army of Light for their Renilash event, assuming it hasn’t already happened …
I would love to see the Arathai going “No, this is a holy relic of our people.”, the Army of Light going “No, this is our new power source to fight Demons on their homeworld.” and the Arathai to just kinda blink and go “… Oh. OH. Do you need help?”
I feel like we’re being set up for a conflict with the mainland Arathi empire, but I suppose anything is possible.
Either way, talk of the airship is just like talking about the Bilgewater cannon. Or the fact that mana bomb blueprints still existed in Dalaran. Nukes like these spin the story out of control. I find it more likely that there will be explicit reasons why something cannot be used, more than there will be details that support they will be. Perhaps it is meta reasoning, but I think blizz is going to lean that way for their own sake.
So when I say interesting I really do mean it. It’s an interesting story that happened and I bet it was tons of fun to not just Rp but to PvP too.
Because I find it interesting I would like to know more of the implications of story. Especially as it relates to Undermine.
Your character seems to be firmly saying that Undermine and its resources belong to his clan now. Is that his intention? In the aftermath of the revolution are the Darkwolves taking advantage of the turmoil and seeking to really claim Undermine? And is this taking place in the beginning of the Undermine story when Gallywix is still in power?
If yes to taking over Undermine, that certainly would be quite the dastardly plot. It would make a very interesting villain story.
Who attacked first between the Dwarves and the Darkwolves? Your character mentioned ambushes so I think it’s safe to say the dwarves did.
Also what is going on with the raids in the Eastern Kingdoms? Are those raids being done by Darkwolves too? Or their allies or just other Horde that refuse to acknowledge the ceasefire?
What is the Darkwolves’ and your character’s stance on the Armistice?
I feel like how far-reaching the armistice goes is a lot of headcanon.
You could justify it being omnipresent and there being zero tolerance for violations of the law, given how everyone agreed to it.
Or you could justify it that war-wracked Azeroth can’t possibly police splinter factions who are dissatisfied. And the Horde and Alliance’s histories of associating with lunatics so long as they’re useful is murky enough that it provides backing for both arguments.
But I think it’s fine if Orcs want to stomp around and plant flags and say stuff is theirs. It’s quaint. Retro, even.
