Damage timer circles, no intersection to avoid mechanic?

so on many fight mechanics in dungeons and in raids. there are radius effects that get put on players with a time and the typical thing to do is to spread out so none of them touch overlap/intersect.

does there have to be NO intersection, or is partial intersection allowed?

They can overlap. As long as a player is not physically inside the circle, they will not get hit with the effect. That being said, for debuffs that leave a damage effect on the ground afterwords, I would suggest spreading it out anyway so people have room to maneuver the next time.

thanks for confirm. I was watching some M+ groups and they were doing exactly that. always thought there had to be no intersection. thanks for reply.
