A very large negative amount.
Um ready check? Look at your map? Umā¦what?
No, then you canāt easily see why the group is wiping.
Og wow no meters and was fun but yea for many todays wow they think they need it
There were meters in vanilla. And I asked for them every so often cause the thought of running my own never occurred to me.
Damage meter keep me motivated.
So just WCL?
It would make it a worse game.
Just learn to play your spec.
It really isnāt that hardā¦
without meters, when you fail (while doing mechanics) itās simply ādo more damageā but you donāt know who is holding the group back. you donāt know what points in the fight you need more damage. say itās a fight where you have to burst a shield, without meters you have no idea who is and is not bursting on the shield. so ādo more damageā is a stupidly broad thing to say and it is entirely unhelpful.
an mmo without meters is not one I want to play.
Sure. But often people act like there are only two options.
Either you only use it for yourself. Or any criticism is considered trashing another player.
I wouldnt have fun
If there is one thing Classic has shown me, itās that Vanilla WoW was a completely different game in nearly every way. I wouldnāt have any interest in playing Vanilla WoW, and I think this goes hand-in-hand with that.
I like damage meters; they allow me to improve myself.
Or to figure out which dps arenāt swapping to the very important adds.
Itās also important to realize that joining a pug and doing bad damage is rude. You donāt need to be extraordinary, but people expect you to hold your own weight, and thatās appropriate for competitive content.
If your DPS is low youāre basically just saying āI expect a carry for freeā which is extremely entitled, hence why itās rude.
Damage meters are fine. Itās just information. If data is toxic, then Iād assume weāll have a conflict of personalities Iād prefer to not deal with.
I use meters to see how im doing,i could care less about anyone else
But then how would everyone else know that Iām better than them?
In the ifamous wOrds of Papa Palps:
DEEEEEW IT
No one cares what DPS you pull.
I would stop playing. The amount of damage you do is the only way to reliably indicate your level of performance as a damage dealer.
