Go out and do 4-5 was for an offspec/bad conduit or 2k gold when I could go pick flowers and make 10k in the same time period?
Beyond rep…why are these just so so so so bad?

then dont do them? There is nothing you forcing you to do them. No renown or anything. We are still early enough herbs are still going for a decent amy but in 6 months that may change.

I have no clue why blizz went back to the legion model where they dont show at least an idea of what you’ll get for doing a calling. I’m probably not going to bother with them after I get exalted with each rep.

These have been core/great content since released in Legion. Why make them so bad now?
This “if you don’t like it, don’t do it” mentality is honestly just the most dumpster tier excuse for anything as it generally just means 1. You’re not willing to put thought into your reply, and 2. You don’t ever care for thing to change.
Would you be on the same page if raids dropped nothing over I’ll 190? If you wouldn’t like that, then I’d think you’d be happy to just not do that too. Right?

I do them for reputation. I’m incredibly glad they didn’t put mounts or toys in them again (that I know of, All The Things seems to indicate there is a chance at a toy but I’m not 100%) and the gold gray items are a nice perk. I do wish it would just give me gold instead of items to sell, that was a weird change, but ultimately I’m glad I won’t feel bad if I just happen to miss a day.

I don’t mind it so much, but today I had to do an elite quest in Revendreth and for some reason got a scroll to invite someone to the Court of Embers. It’s a Venthyr Covenant exclusive thing.

they’re actually pretty great. they give enough rep, there’s no need to spam world quests anymore, do your one calling for the day and done. feeling particularly lazy? skip it and do two callings tomorrow.
What is it you want them to give you? 10k gold? that’s absurd and you know it.
and actually your 10k gold analogy just illustrates how stupid the herb market is right now. blizzard needs to seriously increase node spawn and density to drive prices down.
it’s insane that herbalism is so lucrative (by game design)…100+g for a single herb? that’s unreal, especially when other professions have already had their craftable items tanked to 20g or less per.

Stop supporting the systems you don’t like by doing the content.
They spent time creating and designing this type of 
and nerfing classes during the exp delay instead of focusing on fixes to the game, its content and not turning the legacy buff on so we could chose to farm older content because they knew that is exactly what a lot of players would do chosing to forego the system garbage in SL, regardless of how “optional” it is.

I think the weirdest thing is that they lack anima. I honestly expected just a little anima from callings, but I won’t sneeze at gold either.

I don’t know, I guess for some reason this time around doing world quests over and above the calling seems unnecessary to me.
but I can’t really put a definitive pin on why that is.

The entire game is optional content. Play it the way you want to play it. Expressing disappointment for poor game design choices has nothing to do with obligations.

The regular callings give 1500 rep, the epic “defeat powerful foes” callings give 2000 rep.

“Poor game design” is completely subjective, but yeah people can complain if they want to complain.
That aside onto the important thing: Your name amuses me.
Callings should reward you a choice of Epic Conduits in your loot specialization.
Really? You can make 10k in 5 minutes of picking flowers? You should do that then. That is about 120k an hour, or 1.2 million for 10 hours. What a gold mine you’ve found there.
