The chest used to give a couple thousand gold now its not giving any.

The grey items that drop, usually three different types, will vendor for several thousand gold. No idea why they do it that way…

Actually this is a good question. Why do they do that? Why not just give a straight up gold reward rather than the grey vendor items? The only thing I can guess is that with the grey stuff, they can rng the amount that drops and therefore the amount of gold you get.

back in bfa i’d see anywhere between 2700 and 4500 gold from the paragon chests prior to the gold nerf. i know i get at least 1700 from daily callings but haven’t really been paying as close attention
it’s for flavor. it’s what the “more rpg stuff” people want.

Really,haven’t played today so let me see.
We need to go on strike. No more world quests until we get consistent rewards.
Wonder how the NPCs will like that when they’re quests ain’t getting done.

its not really random for me, since the only variance i ever see is maybe + or - 100g, but it consistently adds up to roughly 1700

I’ve had some callings give me like 2100g. Others around your 1700g.

I got soooo sick of it, I just wait till 2 or 3 of them line up so I can get them done in the same zone.

Not just that, but they used to also give conduit upgrades more often than not. Haven’t got a conduit upgrade in a while now. But Im not sure if they stop giving upgrades if your conduits are already upgraded past 213 which could be the reason why.

Yes i think they stop after that.
I am leveling a warrior, has 0 conduits and with her i got constant conduits or upgrades to the ones i got.
While on my mains i got 0 or a very rare dup one
The daily callings can give you straight up cash or greys that vendor to roughly the same amounts more or less. I didn’t notice anything that was different with yesterday’s Kyrian calling.
My mage main had her conduits upgraded from 200 to 226 automatically without me even realizing it for weeks after 9.1 came out. My pally alt is still getting conduit upgrades from WQ and callings rewards because they are still below 200.
Just finished mine i see no difference.
The OP is probably confusing the paragon caches with the regular calling rewards. Paragon caches do give a straight gold reward whereas calling caches give the junk grays with the high vendor value.

And those BFA ones got nerfed I wanna say a week into 9.0. I seem to recall they paid well at first. then fun was detected and the rewards went to crap lol.
Which is odd…quite a few a bits of BFA has SL scaling. so its like being in SL…but in BFA lands. I recall for my horde needing to go back for the drust bit in SL ardenweald quest.
Since a horde LZ is right by sister helga WQ I said lets smash her up for old times sake.
And…she was way grindier than I thought she would be.
