boomy’s cyclone has 25yd range, has 1 jump with no slows other than typhoon, and has 1m root silence and 1m stun
mage’s poly has 30yd range that can be casted while blinking, spammable 60% slows with annoying roots, has +4 blinks, and an aoe disorient
lock’s fear has 30yd range, spammable 50-70% slows, gate+port slow immunity, and an aoe fear/coil “stun”

if cyclone has the same duration as fear/poly then yes
each spec has their tradeoffs and counters otherwise there would be no unique spec
right except clone is undispellable, can’t heal clone targets.
and way to minimize what moonkins have and present a favorable arguments by going to town on mage/lock abilities
lets not forget the rest of the toolkit moonkin has access to. just in cc dept, root/beam, bash, mass root, bash and typhoon for displacement

All fair points, though I think Boomy has a number of unique upsides (besides cyclone) that locks and mages do not.
Personally, I think the issue is less about “what class has what,” and more about the fact that after Blizzard’s focused scrutiny of CC and wide-ranging nerfs across the board (including classes that have historically been defined by their CC), it is (imo) very bizarre that of all things, they left cyclone untouched.
Clone denies all healing and damage received, making that mute. Fear has pathing issues, of which can not only bug you and insta kill you, but doesn’t immediately break to damage 95% of the time. And for the most part, will always send you into the worst part of the map, to which you will just get shot like it was a back alley bowling club.
If you think clone is broken, you’re fried. The only thing broken about it is how high winds stacks with MS
