Customization Hopes!

Awesome ideas, Solá! I admit I don’t play pandaren, hence why I skipped them, but your ideas are fantastic!

BTW, I don’t know about “no sandals” being possible, but did you know there are textures in the files to change the color of pandaren sandals? It also changes the color of the cloth texture around their tail/stub. That option should be implemented, it’s almost ready!

cornucopia off hand. tucks into crook of arm. some have fruit. some have flowers. some have less pleasant things.

Definitely agree with troll beards. I know it would make a lot of other people happy too.

I’d like to see all races get scars and necklaces.

But mostly, I’d really like it if all the races had close to the same number of options for customization. Some races really got the shaft.

Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves.

Scars for all races separated from face choice. A player shouldn’t be forced to have to use one or two face options just to have scars.

Upright model for, Worgen, undead, and trolls.

tail option for Worgen, and give Lightforged Draenei the Tail options the Draenei have.

Highborne aesthetics for night elves, in the form of regal hair styles with adornments, and regal jewelry to show there status.

Facial hair separated into beard, mustache and sideburns. All races should have this option.

More Eye colors for Draenei,
More hair color options, and Hairstyles.

Jewelry for both males and females of a race, gender locking it is just wrong.

Red and purple eyes for Blood Elves and void elves.

Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Farstrider tattoos for Blood Elves and Void Elves,

In the end I hope everyone can get what they want, so they can play the character that they have always dreamed of playing. Even if people are against the things that I would enjoy having.

After playing around with the character maker last night it dawned on me… Why do tauren not have the option to pick their hair / mane color (including beard for male) separate from their body already?

Always liked the white fur tone for mine, but was always put off by that wonky hair color you are locked into.

It’s probably related to how the textures were set up, kinda like eye color wasn’t selectable apart from face. I think it can be changed, and it would be a good change indeed.

For trolls, unhunched option, more tusks and tusk colors, a chameleon foot option(extending the back toe, like dire troll feet) For undead, scarification designs, brains, gruesome things like intestines and brains, and oozes leaking out. For mechagnomes I would like wire hair/beards, gear tattoos, and modifications you can collect through professions/adventuring. For any race with hooves, painted hooves would be great. High mountain Tauren I would like moose faces, moss covered antlers, and antlers shedding velvet(gore covered antlers)

Add a hunch option for female orcs!

Why would anyone want hunchback females?

I’m here to give my support for all these options!

I think the only thing I saw on here that is a hard pass for me is someone mentioned Velf Paladins. Not a fan. Also not a fan of lighter hair colors/more non void options for velfs, but that’s more of a soft pass really.

Other than that, I think I’m okay with most of the options.

I saw this in Reddit. Someone was enabling NPC options and new combinations of existing assets, plus porting hairstyles/facial hair between races. It’s a nice show of the potential options we could get:

That actually looks pretty cool. Sadly, with the amount of resistance to sharing assets across factions, we probably wouldn’t see anything like this happen to the degree shown in the video.

Yes, while I don’t think all hairstyles (or bears or whatever) should be available to all races, I think there should be no exclusive options. It would be cool to have a generous overlap between races.

It doesn’t need to be every asset shared between certain races either.

For instance, imagine you give female blood elves 2 hair options from humans, 2 from void elves, 2 from kul tirans, 2 from nightborne, 2 from night elves. That’s 10 more hairstyles without feeling like any race shared too much with another.

I’d like more short hair options for night elf males, to add to this list. I agree with pretty much most things on this list with even shorter ears.

Imagine trying to attack some one for asking for more options.

Get over yourself they arent asking for your tentical dreams to be removed they are asking for more hairstyles which in turn would add an abundance of hairstyles that could have tenticale.

Void elfs are blood elfs the theme of a void elf is just shadowpriest bloodelf.

So I agree let them ask for what they want it doesnt ruin your race you will still play a purple elf that isnt a nightelf and have tenticale.

Your argument is failed from the outset being a basic one as “no I don’t want it so you shouldn’t get it either”

If see the voidelf hairstyles all fading to black on the tips or purple.

So like a blood hair color would end with black tips etc.

Or blue streaks. Kind of like panda multi hair color void elfs should get that too.

I’d love to see things like that.
There’s no excuse for lack of variety.

Undead skintone for Blood Elves to go with the red eyes you’re requesting. You can’t play a dark ranger without undead skin and red eyes.

I fear that won’t happen, just like I don’t think we will have leper gnomes or mummy trolls. Red eyes are one thing, it’s just another eye color, but they intend to allow people to use undead skins.

You can ask for it, of course, it’s not my place to judge, nor am I denying you. But I think it steps outside the limits Blizzard wants to go with character customization.
