Currently three and a half hours into unlocking Kul Tirans

I unlocked all the allied races, just because. I enjoyed their stories.

Kul Tiran is definitely among the rarest, but I love the idea of being able to play as another group of humans that isn’t Stormwind, nor forced to be a furry Gilnean.

Kraken hunters that are related to Vrykul moreso than regular humans, are badass. As was Drustvar, and the houses. They are the only playable ocean-themed race.

Not everyone has the “stomach” to be a Kul Tiran, ahaha.

The KT druids have some sweet shapeshift forms and the backstory is kind of cool. Will give them that.

As long as you keep the boot polish coming

I don’t think they started doing that until Shadowlands.

Idk about Horde zones, but the Alliance zones that aren’t Drustvar… aren’t particularly linear.

There’s a linear “main story” (unmarked, because it’s BfA) that climaxes with the dungeon for both Tiragarde and Stormsong.

But the issue is the fact that that linear “main story” takes up roughly 30% of the zone. Everything else you have to do for the achievements are filler side quests that have no major story to be told. “Hey go take pictures of these animals” “Hey go kill these wolves”. And you just have to run around and find these pointless hubs that have nothing interesting to offer and don’t connect to each other.

That was my biggest gripe with BfA. Only Drustvar had a coherent questing experience.

Even worse than the rep was that KT had 4 dungeons. Easily the worst unlock of all the AR. I don’t think Horde AR even had any dungeons they had to complete.

Oh no not a dungeon!! The horror!!!

Ah you may be right. Its been awhile since i did the bfa quests. Regardless, any questions op might have about what quests to do can be found via the good ole googletron

Yeah, I remember having to do Siege of Boralus. And Waycrest Manor.

I think you do actually have to do Motherlode on both sides? As it’s part of the War Campaign, idk it’s been like six years since I’ve done it all.

All I remember is Azerite, and something about “WOONS CHAMP-YUN”

Think the point of my comment went right over your head. Only other AR that had dungeons was Mechagnome, and I think it was only Mythic. Horde had zero dungeons to complete to unlock them. It’s a comparison of which AR were the most complicated.

Honestly, the entire concept of unlocking allied races has been the biggest con artistry Blizz has pulled off in years. Downright shameful is what it is.

I had fun unlocking them at the time. I think they should just get rid of the unlocks and make them for the heritage armor only.

Average blizzard shill

Yeah i transfered my Hunter ally specifically cause he had all the reps grinded already to unlock the alliance allied races and honestly, just cba lol. I’d rather play a Panda if i’m going to play a pudgy dude anyway. Prefer the cartoony look over the middle-aged american one.

Average wq hero that gets mad about having to play the game to get rewards.

Least you didn’t have to sit through the first part of bfa.

I swear, 8.1 took forever and a half to come out.

Update

Another hour in, another questline that had nothing to do with unlocking Kul Tirans. “Main story” quests are not identified.

Yeah, it’s probably time to unlock all of the allied races for everyone that has a max level toon on their account.

I did Kul’Tirans pretty organically because I wanted flying. Eventually I got around to unlocking Zandalari trolls… that took quite a while because I refused to do it all at once.

Blizzard has to have the metrics on completion of this and has to know how bad it is. I’m usually the “cry more lol” guy when it comes to difficult to obtain achievements and cosmetics, particularly the rocket thing going on now, but I see this as different. This is something that should be open to fresh players, worst case you complete the introductory quests so you know who the Zandalari/Kil’Tiran even are and done.

Up to SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS and not even done with the second achievement.

So much fun

I just unlocked Kul Tirans this morning after about a total of 25ish hours of questing >.< Best of luck! >.<
