Good luck, my friend. You got more willpower than me. Just spent the past hour doing the BfA opener and the SL Lordaeron quests… just to phase to the proper Brill for the holiday. That alone is enough questing for the next 24 hours.

Yeah, although they removed the rep requirements, it still takes probably an entire day of playing (ya gotta finish the War Campaign too) or a few days of playing casually.
It used to be worse before, when you needed exalted with the reputations that unlocked each race. It’s still a time sink, just one you can be done somewhat quickly, thankfully.
I remember going to unlock them back in BfA, and it took me around a month of doing dailies and stuff just to reach the reputation requirements.

I think save for paladin, which idk if KT can or cannot be, if I were to make a character that is not an elf I would go out of my way to get Kul Tirans. I love the themes of their armor and their settlements look amazing. Stuff relating to the Drust and Heartsbane Coven also appeals to me a lot for roleplay value. The druids are just so cool.
Edit: Can’t be paladins. So I’ll never have an Ally paladin, I guess.

lol I unlocked my Zandalari as soon as it came out my lord was that an awful time, you had to rep up and finish the long as heck quest line. as hard as it was though when I finally got to make him it felt like no other character I had created before and I still favor him to this day. GL buddy and I hope the feeling is as good for you

How did it end up so linear yet so easy to lose your place at the same time?! It’s maddening and boring at the same time, and the story is trash.

Quest logs will show what quests are story quests and which ones are tertiary ones not required, you can also usually tell whats a story quest because the ! has a big thingy around it on the minimap whereas regular quests are a ! as well, while there’s some wonkiness to it, opening the larger map should at least highlight the start of the next major quest.
None of the quests have had the big bold rectangular “main quest” marker.
Update: 4.5 hours for the FIRST PART of the first achievement. 13.5 hours pace for just the first achievement. Such fun. Definitely wouldn’t rather be doing something else.

try the attunement tracker, which will show you which quests you need
then use the comments on wowhead to check the entire quest chains, to view any pre-requisite unlocks, or figure out where you need to go next

It still gets messy sometimes, especially if you come back after a break or drop a quest to make room in your log.
There’s been times where I’ve had to run around to npc after npc, looking for a !, wondering which phase I was in even when I knew my spot in the chain. And this is after unlocking all races when current (I do Loremaster on multiple chars).
Imagine if you did it in BFA when it took months!

And? If you wanted to unlock Kul Tirans in BFA it took months.
LF draenei can be DKs and they literally explode on death. I’m not saying it’s a pressing issue, but Velf Paladins def would not be the weirdest thing we can do.
Though I realize you could mean a new class, which would be more cool.
I mean we’ve seen other “paladins” that use magic of the different astrological powers.

So it’s very possible. I just think as is they’d need to do a complete spell color change to Void Elves to void like the Warlock green fire grimoire. Then offer an option to change it to Holy colored for those who wish to play up the High Elf option.

That’s an instant 2 more toons at least right there lol One to play up the Holy High Elf; the other doubling down with purple skin and tentacle hair.
If you hate it so much why are you trying to unlock them? If you hate it so much why are you even playing?
I wish Void Elves would’ve doubled down on the void aspect. More tentacles, eyes, spikes, really go all in with the corruption. Even doing like the red black Emerald Nightmare options.
But if i were in charge I would’ve changed the Blood Elves to Neutral and allowed people to choose which faction to put their character on, and new Blood Elves would choose. You’d either be a Sin’dorei or Quel’dorei - you’re in service to Silvermoon or you’re a high elf pilgrim.
Void Elves would just be an option for Alliance, and the horde would get Ogres or San’layn.
