No you do not have to join a team if you dont want to. That is all up to you. You can just join the guild without having to be on a team.

We have survived the first week of BfA, which means the real content is just getting started! If you have never tried raiding or M+ dungeons before, I highly recommend you give it a shot! We will be offering guild dungeon runs, open raids, and training classes to help get you up to speed and experiencing the end-game content!
