What is the issue now? Some low pop servers? I wouldn’t know how those actually are because I play on a decently populated server and it isn’t even a high pop one. I think they should keep combing servers like they are doing now. Except maybe start putting some of them with medium pop servers instead of combining low pop ones together.
I think it is pretty good now. When new expansions/patches get released, all of the servers pop increases then goes down throughout the expansion. I really don’t want 2348097423987 in one spot trying to quest when an expansion releases or new patch.
I am on Argent Dawn Horde. It’s been dead for several expansions. I pretty much play Alliance on Stormrage these days. I am giving some thought to moving to Area 52. With Shadowlands, I can level the alts I don’t want to pay to move easy enough.
Oh the “important social aspect” that went right out the window with cata 10 years ago? Yeah all the people that loved the social aspect have left in the millions since then.
It seems like eliminating server designations entirely would be the next logical step. I can’t even remember the last time I recognized a name in trade chat or in game, so it seems like we’re pretty much there already.
I remember. Can’t remember when that started to happen but it’s definitely been something I’ve seen throughout BFA. I think I vaguely recalling it happening on the tailend of legion though.
In Legion you needed some basic sequence work but it was Ghuun this expansion that started the massive work of coordinating exactly what everybody was doing at every moment, for 20 people.
