no i remember it releasing in SL season whatever. and they made the raids nathria and sanctum retroactively group loot
GL wasnt implemented until DF. Try again.
Iâve had a couple people offer me 1mil for an item, totally would have taken them up on the offer but Iâve got some weird bug where Iâm not allowed to trade items. They soulbind to me as soon as I win them.
I love loot.
I mean its the state of LFR typically, you are better off doing normal and above if you want raid gear, as the bulk of the people in LFR are gearing up alts.
I think the system is 100% fine, I think how it works has been a positive net change in that people are able to get the gear they want easier now compared to how personal loot worked. It also keeps the scalpers at bay by preventing them from being able to need roll things and try to sell them too.
Current system is terrible. Iâd vote for personal loot plus some sort of bad luck protection. Also add a currency to buy pieces at a rate of perhaps 1 every two weeks but you can choose anything in the raid. Everyone should be able to fully gear from a raid within a month. To say that we should get it slower is just promoting casual gamers to not do that content (and thereby reducing the fun factor of the vast majority of the subscriptions in the game) Raid loot acquiring rate is a complete joke compared to m+ which is why m+ is so much more popular on top of less wasted time.
that is not the reason why personal loot was removed at all.
Getting loot has never been easier than now.
Suggesting people get fully decked out within one month is absolutely asinine.
The season goes on for a long time giving everybody plenty of time to play at their own pace.

It came with the Dragonflight prepatch so I suppose technically you could run Shadowlands raids with group loot. However, the first season that wasnât effectively over to use it was DF season 1.
Itâs just bad luck. Now it feels really bad because you want your tier ASAP. Iâm in the same boat, I got no tier pieces, not even once, running LFR, Normal and Heroic 2 clears already. But I have 3 of my specs S tier trinkets already and a heroic weapon. So itâs like, I got bad luck on tier but really good luck on trinkets and weapons. Over the course of a few weeks, your âluckâ evens itself out.
Thatâs RNG for you, Iâll still take it over ML anyday⌠because at least there is a chance.
i think it could be ok. the transmog button should be redesigned so it can work as it was intended to work.
right now if you are in a raid, more specifically raid finder, you will constantly see people with a higher ilvl gear item rolling and winning. this should not be.
the need button should only be clickable if the item that drops is not only usable but a higher ilvl.
as for the transmog button, these players wearing a higher ilvl item can click the transmog button and if they win the transmog roll the item will only be collected as an appearance.
the people that are able to need, can need and the highest roller will win the physical item.
it is so simple.
the greed button can just be deleted as it is useless. Need > Transmog > Pass
the end.
Item level does NOT convey power level for a lot of items. Yes there are some extreme examples like a 40 item level difference on a main stat armor piece where the item level will always represent the better item. But on every special effect item and items without main stat, even a 40 item level difference isnât enough to change which item is better. Denying players the ability to roll if they have an item in that slot that is a higher level will be denying that player the opportunity to roll on an actual upgrade for a lot of the most sought after pieces in raid.
100%. Iâve been saying this ever since group loot came back in Dragonflight.
sorry did not know you were a min max raid finder raider. disregard my post. give all items to dwelknarr.
What is this reply? If the goal is to make sure every item goes to players for use, then item level simply does not accomplish this goal. Itâs not some min-max minutiae where a 3 item level downgrade on item X can be an upgrade for the third overlap of the 7th raid boss and thus should be awarded to the better geared player. Itâs simply logically inconsistent to try to argue that one player should be prevented from rolling on a certain item because it would be an upgrade for another player when a lot of times the lower item level piece is an upgrade. It comes across as entitled to try to dismiss this reality.
I hate it, only time I get lucky on a roll is when everyone else passes on the item I want. I spent all of season 2 chasing two raid trinkets through both LFR and my heroic prog group, and finally got ONE of them on the last raid night of the season. I really wish the Dinar system was permanent, at least for trinkets anyway because depending on the seasonâs dungeon pool itâs not always easy to find a good substitute for the unique effects trinkets bring.
Makes perfect sense with rings and trinkets, ilvl is essentially meaningless for those slots because trinkets have unique effects and rings donât have main stat.
I maintain my original position in this regard. I wanted ML back, but⌠not like this. Why in the world they couldnât just do what they did in Legion, Iâll never understand. PL for pugs, ML for 100% guild runs that want to use it.
the refusal to bring back ml seems weird but most guilds have work arounds for it, so while annoying.
the Ms> os rolling on loot in lfr has always been peak entertainment
