With you on all of this, talked about it with some others in this other post on the DH forums here.
I think the whole rework desire for DH and Rogue might be related to that they believe it’s the same dev who works on these classes, and suspiciously (not really) both of them have had very little changes in gameplay rotation, flavor, style, etc. since post-Legion. Random rogue complaint – WHY did they bring back slice and dice, and why is it still here, it’s the most annoying button to keep track of and spend on!!! With DH my complaint is that my gameplay as Veng feels pretty much the same as it did in Legion with some added Havoc buttons from the shared tree. Yay chaos nova.
Also, both of these classes have very underwhelming hero talents with minimal visual effects and class fantasy amplification compared to some other classes. It stings a little when smth like Hunter gets more new visual effects to their hero tree and ours are still like. What is that. Where is any of the flavor. What is trickster and fatebound even supposed to represent in the class fantasy??? Fel-scarred and aldrachi reaver are just more of the same and don’t add anything to the already present class fantasy, with the former having an explosion with glowing buttons when you meta now.
Maybe it’s nitpicky ,but as a writer and roleplayer who really enjoys diving deep into class, spec, race, magic, etc. to create interesting, unique ideas that build off of the present lore and environmental storytelling, it’s sad when the person paid to do it and implements these things doesn’t seem to care about any of that.
