I apologize for being so slow. Been wiped out lately due to Blizzcon excitement and real life happenings, so haven't had as much energy to go do stuff. I'll try to get something up this weekend though.

For those not distracted by Draco or other things, who had their eyes on Vanexia the entire time, you might notice she was mumbling, though not loud enough to hear. Before she "vanished", she looked up at the group, smiled, then seemed to fall through the solid floor.

A post before holidays get crazy. I may post one more time around Christmas since I am working 22, 23, and 25 and it'll probably be slow. Otherwise I may not post until sometime between 26-31.
So has everyone posted that was going to post? Then I will see about another for Draco and Baine.

Thread bump. Sorry for taking so long to post--kept distracted by work, holidays, and just life in general. Energy's been on the waning side, which has made it tougher to write, but I think I finally got caught back up.
I found this thread trying to make a run for it much the same way as our mage friend, so thought I'd toss it back onto the frost page. I also wanted to ask if...
this looks to be a successful use of Baine's Counter shot? I think it was good timing on that one.

Y'all know the hobbit right? Smaug style is how I intend Vane to fall, but it isn't a one man show. I'll leave it to you all if you play into it or not.
A little history on Vanexia I couldn't find a way to weave in: After returning to Azeroth with her brothers, she attempted to go off with her mate, Therion. At this time, Vinarion was already starting to spout his ideas about ending the mortals of the planet, though his true fervor didn't happen until much later. Vane didn't agree, as she was ready lay her clutch and wanted to raise them in isolation and peace. She and her mate found a small cavern in the mountains south of Tenaris. Her mate and herself had made a pact to take turns doing the hunting, and to do it in a humanoid form, in the hopes of avoiding suspicion.
However they made one mistake. The cavern was too high to reach without flying, so the pair did have to rely on their dragon forms to make it up and down the mountains.
A small group of red dragons, still looking for their queen, spotted the pair, coming and going from their mountain hideaway. Blaming the black flight for the enslavement of Alexstraza, the reds hid nearby.
Vanexia had left her mate and eggs to find food. When she returned, the metallic scent of blood and the acrid scent of lava wafted from the small cavern. Upon entering, she found the body of her mate and two reds, dead, and the eggs all broken.
The final red tried to ambush Vane as she saw the horror before her. Vane outmatched him with her anger and rage, quickly pinning the red, demanding answers. He called her corrupted, a traitor, and attempted to free himself from her claws, before meeting his death between her jaws.
Vinarion came upon the cavern, his sister broken within with her grief. From there, it was easy to win Vanexia's support to his cause.
