“Arg!” Kersia cried out as her spell recoiled from the power of the molten stream. “I don’t know how long I can hold.”
Torin came up beside Kersia. "I apologize for my delay, had some uninvited guests outside." He said as he took in the situation, Vyn was hurt and there were two black dragons to contend with. "I see our troubles in here are only escalating. We need to grab the wounded and flee, at least to an area where she doesn't have such a significant advantage." He said as he noticed one of the black dragons must have been Draco.
"Perhaps we can sooth our allies mind." He said aloud as he tried to connect with the dream. He attempted to send out a stream of soothing energies to try and calm Draco's mind try to bring him back from the brink of corruption that had taken the rest of his flight. "Come back to us Draco, do not give in to their influence!" He said directly into the black dragon's mind. "Think of your friend! How would he look at you like this?" Attempting to sooth another dragon's mind was within his power, but it required all his concentration to try and calm Draco.
In truth he was delayed not from uninvited guests outside, but from within. He could feel the influence of the Nightmare growing. It had scared him, taken his mate and nearly him. Now he could feel its power growing. He had to warn the others, but he could not risk using the dream anymore than he already has lest it claim him.
