Taking the kids to see the new Minions movie today! Cheap Tuesday tickets, but the concessions is where they get you anyway. Extra-buttery popcorn is calling my name anyway!

Mmmmm. Homemade salsa. I have a feeling that there will a lot of leftovers from dinner. People pigged out.

I am totally riding the clock right now. My boss goes out for major surgery next week and her job has been filled with somebody new to the company. Not temporarily. Filled.
Not that there are 2 overqualified people that currently work for the department capable of doing the job or anything. Not that it wasnt planned for us to both do portions of just that in a meeting with the head honcho.
That is what my anger was about yesrerday. Carrying over to today. So i decided in the next few months i will use all the money in my education fund here, roughly $1400 or so to advance my training. On their dime. Then i will advance my career elsewhere.
So atm i really have an i dont care attitude.
Probably knows nothing about how things work there and will want things done their way because they know best.

When I was working restaurants, I got moved around a lot as a “fixer/fill-in.” I would try to keep things as close to how they did things before I got there; the only changes I’d make were to conform with company policy, health and safety, or to bring costs into line.
FINALLY home. Time to get some food in me, and watch Better Call Saul. Then time for bed. Potential double tomorrow, we shall see what happens. That means I don’t get to break this beast in until Thursday most likely. Oh well
It has been a long work week for me. Already 8 hours into overtime and still have a day that starts on the clock at 5 am tomorrow and does not end until AT LEASTD 230 pm. And that end time is only if all goes correctly for another employee that I am covering while her apartment fixes her AC that has been broken since June.
Their original response was to give her a window unit. So she didn’t pay her rent this month. That got corporates attention real quick as she started sending screenshots of messages trying to get this resolved.

Well it was bound to happen what i thot was a head cold turns out to be covid.

Wierd thing is it feels like a typical head cold congested sinus pressure rubber band around head ill retest in the morning.

We have positive residents, we are actively taking them from the hospitals and dr referrals. However we also dont get paid for 5 days if we test positive. So stupid.
I would figure that would be a worker’s comp thing. If it’s an on the job injury/illness, it’s supposed to be covered, isn’t it?
