Need to do chores…

Tomorrow is gonna be fun. In the morning, doctor’s yearly exam and in the after noon, getting two fillings taken care of.

Ugh, my family was going to end the month with a surplus of about $1000 or so, so I was finally going to upgrade my computer. The CPU and motherboard are about 7 years old and the graphics card about 3, so it was time.

Unfortunately, I found out yesterday that the cooling fan for my car’s air conditioner died, causing the car to overheat if idling and running the AC. Given that I live in Texas, this is … not ideal, and I don’t want to put off fixing an overheating engine at all to boot. $460 later and I guess I’m not upgrading my computer.

I suppose that I could get a graphics card or new CPU and motherboard for now though, which would be a huge boost nonetheless.

You can get some decent upgrades for fairly cheap. Not sure your operating budget, but PCPartPicker is a great place to start. If your Mobo is 7 years old, you will probably need new RAM, too, so keep that in mind. We’re past DDR3.

Be happy that is all it was with your AC. Compressor went out in my car. $1600 later and I had working A/C But being just north of you in Oklahoma, there was no way I was going to drive my children around in this heat and humidity with no working AC

GOOD point. I knew about that and just forgot.

Oh trust me, I am exceedingly glad that it was just the AC, and it was just the cooling fan and not the compressor.

Not sure how the prices compare PCPartPicker but I get mine from TigerDirect, They also have good deals on Barebone units as well.

Oooo. Ribeyes on the grill :cut_of_meat:. I need that now. I would make my famous stinky garlic potatoes (named that by my kids) and an orange almond onion salad. Now I’m real disappointed in my taco night tonight.

Speaking of steaks, for some reason I randomly started craving my mom’s London Broil.

Why would you want to be grilling when it’s only (at most) in the 40s
(or 7 degrees in the other system) ?

My husband does the grilling. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. If it’s not raining it’s all good!

I think it’s spring fever. There is no cure except for steaks on the grill.

It’s calling for a high of 60 Fahrenheit ( 15.5 Celsius ) and sunny, We normally eat around 5pm so it should be just right for grilling; Can’t wait!

Making my mouth water thinking about Corned Beef & Cabbage, I haven’t had that in a long time; Makes me wish I had made that instead of the Beef Stew I let slow cook all day.
