Gonna be a debt free in about a week. And that check is gonna help. Then to start saving for the down payment for a house for me and dad.
That reminds me, I need to clean out the car and take it to a detailer and get it cleaned up.

The whole routine though feels like it is being done to intentionally bait and annoy posters. Like that sibling who sticks their finger a millimeter from your face saying “I’m not touching you”.
Intentional disruption is the goal I assume, like the derailment of this thread into being about Pooh instead of just real life things.

It shows bird migration information in real-time. Looks like the migration in Michigan peaked last night (birds migrate primarily at night, apparently).
And it also looks like Francine is going to push up from Louisiana right up to Michigan as it makes its North American Tour.

I have noticed a lot less birds. I just assumed it was because of the hawk that has been hanging around for a while.

In IRL news here:
- I literally swabbed the back deck yesterday. Mop, bucket, hose. No more algae/grunge.
- Went to disconnect the battery charger from my car and noticed white dust near the engine cover. Took that off - MOUSE nest!
- Vacuumed the car engine and left the cover off for now
- Got some stucco patch I had handy and used it to patch the concrete gaps around the garage door that I think the mouse was using.
- Set a mouse trap. I came out this morning and I had caught it. I feel terrible but it can not live in my car engine. No poison was used to I set it out for the predators/scavengers to have. At least it can be safely recycled.
Have company tomorrow though Friday so need to prep for that - mostly put away the massive amount of project tools I have sitting in the dining room from working on the house and yard all summer. Then I can USE the dining room for company. Heh. Also need to clean the fridge and do some grocery shopping.
Will also bake a nice fresh rustic loaf of rosemary bread I think.

I got an inexpensive little power washer (electric, at that!). Sooo satisfying to see all the grime just vanish from the concrete of the driveway, walkways, patios, and the vinyl siding on the house.

My son’s car is parked outside. He had to get a mouse repellent to mount under the hood. It was a small black box that was battery powered to make a mouse annoying sound.
YES! I have one I am borrowing but wood tends to splinter when you use that unless you are really careful. I did not want to actually strip the paint or make there be splinters on the deck. Hence the swabbing. I DID use a higher pressure setting on my hose sprayer to blast between boards, edges, etc. It was not high enough pressure to hurt the boards though.
I had no idea those existed! Hopefully it won’t come to that. I keep the car in the garage and if the garage is mouse proof then I am safe…but yeah. I will keep that in mind.
