I prefer a dry red or dry white if it is hot enough out. Sauvignon Blanc is more my style in summer.
I really really like red though. I am super sad I can’t sip wine on the deck and watch the sunset with a friend
I think you live in the US, that’s a bit far for me to drive ATM seeing I have a dog show in 3 days. Would never make it back in time.

I had never cared for red wines … that is until I had one of the best I had ever tried while I was doing study abroad in Switzerland. It was from a local vintner (the Ticino canton produces a lot of red wines) and I really wish I could get it here.
It paired so well with the homemade spaghetti from one of the researchers from Italy. It was a great night – watching a blizzard in the middle of July while working on my research logs and having amazing food/wine/conversation with some of the other researchers.
Sadly, I have lost my picture of the bottle and now have no idea which red it was we had that night. But I hope to get back to Piora one day and hopefully can find it again.

What a wonderful memory!!! Nights like those are priceless and a rare treasure.
Edit - still running around like a chicken with my head cut off finding last minute things to do. Bread is baking.
I don’t have to go to the store though. Friend will bring ice cream.

Friend is in charge of dinner tonight anyway so called to say he plans to stop at the store. Perfect! Just grab some half and half and ice cream!
Lets me try to finish all the house perfection. I tend to be a bit… picky about the house when I have company especially. He has not visited since April. Since then I have done SO MUCH repair, renovation, and landscaping work. I sort of want to make a good impression with all the work I did. I had so many tools to put away that were all over the place from projects.
YESSSS! Warm stew/pot roast/soup and rustic crusty bread are divine together. Just got my loaf out of the oven.

Well, gotta drive to the VA Hos[ital tomorrow. The local hospital told me to basically pound sand and refused x rays as I couldn’t pay my balance and the $260 co-pay.

I can’t say the Canadian is much better. It takes so long to see a doctor, but a mortician is always dying to see someone.
Man I drive a Raymond 9600 and a Raymond 9800 swingreach while listening to podcasts and Godsmack. A little texting at work ain’t gonna hurt anyone. I just don’t have airpods in.
At least here in the big apple, it’s kind of becoming a bit harder to go to the ER in general - a well know hospital is gonna close…I assume money related.
