[CS Lounge] Put more characters, in the thing more characters goes in

If ever a day I snap and go off at work, today very well may be that day.

Combination of extremely poor sleep and the previous shift doing pretty much nothing in terms of prep are a recipe for trouble. And I still have 12 hours to go.

ngl, i enjoyed Hook. Dustin Hoffman as Capt Hook, Robin Williams as Peter Pan, and Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell. it was pretty good.

aw, son of a… :disappointed:

i tried my hand at it. it said it would pair me with a player of “equal skill level”…yeah, it put me up against someone with an OP deck, who proceeded to wipe me out in under 3 turns.

uninstalled it and haven’t looked back since. and i was just trying to get the mount from it for WoW. .-.

I’ve played Hearthstone off and on again since it was released. I might play it a bit more now that I’ve installed it on my tablet.

OK, home have food am showered and sitting under a ceiling fan.

Still grumpy as all get out but at least that grump is contained in my home. Prepped a lot for tomorrow to make things easier for me and my staff.

That would seem to be in complete contradiction to their policy of not informing people of account actions against other customers. Have they changed their privacy policy? Will they start informing players of actions taken against people reported for harassment as well? What about language violations? Or spam violations? Don’t get me wrong… I’m all for outing the cheaters. Just wondering what’s changed here.

Well, it is looking like I am a better rogue than I was a shaman.

Nothing like raiding N’zoth while Dwarven Death Metal is playing in the background.

So what action did they take against the other player? Which player report was the letter from? How long ago was your report? What personal information about another player have they really given you?

All they did was essentially put an automatic reply to reports. It’s a form letter that doesn’t actually contain any useful information about what/who you reported or what action was taken. Unless you only ever reported one player and you remember exactly who they were and what you reported them for, you don’t know who the letter was about. As well, you don’t know what account action. The action could have just been a warning. It could have been a suspension. It could have been a ban. You don’t know.

On top of that, the one you reported may not have been the one actioned. Like when big exploits end up in the live game. If you used them once you could have been reported, but no action was taken against your account because you only did it once. However, the report could have helped find and fix the exploit and resulted in the suspension of many players who did massively use the exploit.

Oww, so that is what happened:

Raider.io tries to be funny when you don’t have data to provide for their site. Since I don’t raid or do mythics there really isn’t anything to put there.

eh, could be worse. you could be swarmed by seagulls in Eye of Azshara and had to put updating said profile on hiatus. xP

My main says “Kassare thought they heard someone say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker and had to check it out rather than customize their profile.” My main actually has Thunderfury. I had it equipped and used it from levels 90-96 on the WoD beta before I remembered to equip an off-hand.

This character says “Rufflebottom went missing on a flight path over the Twisting Nether and hasn’t gotten around to updating their profile yet.” Not true. I could be hanging out in that ship in the Nether between Hellfire Peninsula and Netherstorm.

My main on the EU realms says “Lazkazbrez is currently staving off the armies of Kil’jaeden and hasn’t customized their profile yet.” That’s not true. She’s been battling the Iron Horde trying to get the third heirloom ring.

Why are you attacking me?

But if you are able to deduce who it is, they’ve told you that the player you reported was guilty of cheating and had action taken against their account. Doesn’t matter what the account action was. They’ve revealed to another player that action was taken. That’s a big change in how reports are handled. And while I’m still pondering it, I think I like it. Out the cheaters! Out the harassers! Out the jerks!

I wasn’t attacking you. Sorry if it came off that way. I’m very happy you shared that email. It’s interesting. It seems there’s been a shift in their position on revealing information to the people who make the reports.

No "but"s.

I’m not going to play that game with you. Take the discussion to General Discussion where it belongs.

The point is that there appears to be a change in approach to reporting. I’m curious if that will be across the board for all types of reports. Will all players who file reports that result in an account action be given similar feedback?

Customer Support would not have that information.
