I was overdue when my city shut everything down in March. I have a set of beard clippers, so by mid-April, I took matters into my own hands, at least on the sides a bit, since it was driving me crazy! I got my first real haircut in late June, when my barber was open, and not buried alive. I think she works solo, since there’s never anyone else there working, and the people around here are pretty particular about how things are done.

Kiddo wants some new thing from Chic fil A so he gets to come on the Sam’s leg of the journey later. There is one down the street and I like making the kiddo happy. I’m a sucker that way.
Hmmm I wonder if he realizes his brother will always be Bubba to me and he will always be Booger Face or Boogie to me. My mind is wandering, trying to stall being an adult.
Also just noticed I use a thumb and index finger to type. Doing this with two thumbs feels weird, and yet oddly no weird typos at the same time. Hmmmm
Both deer flies and horse flies bite with scissor-like mouthparts that cut into skin, causing blood flow which the flies lap up. Because of this relatively crude means of obtaining blood, these bites are painful. Horsefly bites can take a long time to heal and can become infected. Deer fly bites cause welts and can transmit a rare bacterial disease known as rabbit fever (tularemia). Symptoms include skin ulcers, fever, and headache, without treatment it can be fatal.
Well this is a first for me. I got an in game mail on one of my alts (12 120’s now) from customer support. They thanked me for reporting suspected cheating and that my reporting resulted in actions against 1 or more cheaters. I think I know where it was because I have seen them on half a dozen alts as I was leveling.
They thanked me and told me to keep up the good work. See reporting does work. It was nice to see it in person!
We always called Deer Flies “Head Buzzers”. They circle over your head like airplanes. My Dad used to wear a straw hat with Duck tape on it sticky side out. Caught a bunch that way.
So 3 or 4 weeks ago or so, my right pinky toe decided to get closely aquainted to our couch. Pulled the nail up I had to pull it off. Was not pleasant.
Apparently, my left toe was jealous so it decided to kick the bathroom door frame in the exact same manor. Did not pull as much off, but it was enough. This one was much more painful to pull off than the last.
Errands are all done, home for the day. I have zero plans on leaving this house again today. It is way toooooo hot outside.
Season 3 was a flop and 4 didn’t do anything to bring it out of that funk, IMO. Something about what Chloe’s actress did for the character when Netflix took over.
Saw the trailer for season 5 and can’t deny that I’m hyped to see it return to its original glory.
Watched Greyhound for the 2nd time with dad. He loves the film, but being the historian he is, he’ll pause the movie when an inaccuracy pops up and explain how and why it’s inaccurate. The teacher in him will never pass.
My truck is still in the shop after a week. Waiting for a new transmission to come in from out of state. Debating on renting a car for a few day to do errands. I ask my mechanic if he had a loaner, he said he did, but it has no plates
Made some progress on my clients website. Most of the backend stuff is done, just plugging in scripts and doing A LOT of image editing.
That’s what I found too. The first season was great. The second season wasn’t too bad. Three and four had parts that were good, but some of the stories dragged too long. I tried rewatching it but personally it didn’t jump the second time. I am interested in seeing what season five will be like. The premise of the series was interesting even if the execution wasn’t always the best.
