Me: This account should have been cancelled previously. I need to make sure it’s cancelled and the current charge refunded.

Them: I’ve cancelled your account after the current charge. Per the TOS, you will be charged this month.

Me: Guess I’m going to my bank and disputing the charge.

Them: I’ve refunded the charge.

It is hot hot hot! It’s been near 90 for days and is expected to continue. I am loving it. I can have the windows open finally. I give my husband my world famous stink eye :eyes: if he even thinks about turning the air on. He can do that later, after I’ve enjoyed fresh air for a few days.

I am really worried about summer though. We have had only %17 of our normal rainfall this year. We are super dry. This should be our wet time but it hasn’t happened. I can’t remember being in a drought in Spring. :sweat_drops:

Move to California and you will be in a drought all year long…

California is a scary place. It has earthquakes and mudslides. I do want to see it someday though.

Earthquakes are nothing. Unless it is a high magnitude quake (which are fairly rare) most of the time there isn’t really an issue because buildings, especially in California, are built with them in mind. Most of the time it is just a little shaking and that’s it, like a few semi-trucks rumbling by.

Mudslides are really only a thing if your house on, or below a hill and usually only if there is no vegetation that supports the hillside. Most of the houses that build in those areas (often for the view) are fairly high end (Malibu, etc…).

As opposed to giant funnels of air that drop out almost anywhere and take your house, or your neighbors, or both and they have a season of them that happens every year.

I prefer the earthquakes, they tend to be more fun.

Earthquakes would worry me, but mainly because of the Big One™. But the damaging ones are probably pretty few and far between. Damaging storms? They’re way too common.

I forgot fires. Burning to death does not sound like much fun either.

But if it stays dry here there may be fire in our future.

To be fair, the extreme fires California has had are fairly new. Most of the ones California used to get were in those hillside areas I mentioned before.

Not drought. Water storage issues.

I will stop though haha.

So the fence guy came today to repair the fence. As he was digging a hole for a new post he smoked a gas line.:confounded:. I really feel bad for these guys, they were doing good work. Crap happens I would use them again in an instant for more work. Back to the story, atco has been here almost all day trying to figure out how to fix it.

Man, 1989 Loma Prietta quake during Battle of the Bays World Series pregame. That was fun.

No school next day. We loved it haha.

I was working in Downey when the 1987 Whittier Narrows hit. That was real fun.

Was getting gas, looked at my car and what do I see?

A patch of steel belting trying to peel off the tire.

Nope not even messing with that. Straight to the tire shop baby.

$350 later and two new tires about to go om the car.

When I was a child in Alaska we had a few quakes, and a volcano ash problem once, but we had moved to the lower 48 before the Good Friday quake of 1964. Of course we were in Independence Missouri in 1964 so we got to enjoy tornados instead.

The Northridge quake was like a rollercoaster ride. I was in Santa Monica at the time and it was sadly fun to watch all the people worrying that it was just a precursor to the big one.

Hope you all enjoying your evening. Just got home from visiting friends for the day as restrictions here where I live are being lifted now.

Anywho, Downloading the new version of Windows 10 now. The new build is Version 21H1. I didn’t see it on Microsoft Update on my PC. But was able to find a link to the update via Microsoft’s Website.
