I just want to be able to eat lunch in my car. (Running the car for an hour just for AC is a no-go financially and environmentally.) Our break room is small and there are usually at least two conversations happening (one is usually someone on their phone being oblivious to how loud they’ve gotten) on top of something idiotic on the TV and probably something equally idiotic playing on someone’s phone (omg have you guys ever heard of earbuds). I almost could have on Thursday but today it’s back to the 90s.

Another reason it needs to cool off: I just got done playing one of my least favorite games, the one I call Freezer Tetris. Most of the stuff in there needs to be used for soup or stew type dishes* and it’s way too hot to cook stuff like that right now, so I can’t do a proper freezer clear-out. I only even won the game by cheating: pulled out some bread to thaw even though I already had bread, and threw out some freezer-burned English muffins and some mostly dehydrated chicken. Well, I think it was chicken.
*Some of it was always intended for soup; other items are having to be soup because they’ve been in there too long.
