They did a very nice remembrance of Gary Gygax on the forums when he passed away, and a Warlords of Draenor follower NPC, Delvar Ironfist, states that his father was named Gygax. But of course, Gary Gygax was much more directly linked to this game genera than Stan Lee.

Oh wow that is cool. I know I am relatively new here speaking, but how did you get an item named after you? Did you perchance used to work for the WoW team or something? Pure curiosity and a little in awe at it at the same time =)
The forums though, UGH. Now, instead of killing time goofing off at work tomorrow, I will have to actually...well work. The nerve people.
For future reference, just ask how. Don't go too deep into it because that's doxxing.
I got it totally as a surprise for me. It drops in the Siege of Orgrimmar LFR and normal. I once made a globally viral WoW meme in MoP.

Speaking of, has anyone seen the new wristband thing? GO-TCHA? It looks pretty cool.
I haven't watched it yet but the still image of that Electric Rat in the Detective Pikachu trailer is horrible! I want to burn it.
