For the most part, the only contact we have is basic texts on birthdays and Mother’s/Father’s Day. I don’t imagine she’ll get me anything, and all I got her was a Funko Pop keychain.

As a kid, unwrapping a present and finding socks or underwear felt like an insult. As an adult, it’s really all I ask for.

I made it quite known I wanted socks this year for Christmas and Coffee cans of Christmas cookies. I haven’t worn socks for close to a year as I always blow them out.

i find myself wondering “what am i in the MOST need of?” and the only things that come to mind, are things like dish cloths/towels, or a new pair of pants at least…grocery store gift cards are also truly a blessing, as it would save me money for bills or such.

Woot! Three-day work week, and there’s a 50/50 chance I’ll only have to work two. I’m off Mondays and Tuesdays, and told the boss I need Wednesday off. I initially told him I’d be willing to work Monday instead, but when I reminded him yesterday, I opted not to remind him of that bit. And of course, we’re closed Friday and Saturday (an unprecedented gesture on the part of the franchise owner; this is the first year we won’t be open 4pm-10pm Christmas Day).

Edit - I feel ya, Mast. 45 hours worked this week with one shift left to go.

Four day week here, but it might be “interesting.” We’ll be down one person Wednesday and Thursday, though I can’t anticipate it being too busy those days. Then Friday morning will be an early start for me, since I’m heading home for a week. That should be much more enjoyable (well, except for all the driving I’ll have to do).

Wow! Closed on Christmas Eve? When I worked at the Hut, we’d make a bunch of dough in the morning, but not make anything later like we usually would. When we were out, we closed. And no orders placed early for pick up later in the day. But a Friday Christmas Eve should be a busy afternoon/evening.

Which one did you get? I did Pfizer for my initial two shots and went with Moderna for my booster. Initial shots didn’t faze me at all (save for sore arm). Booster knocked me down for the count for 2-3 days (of which I slept for the majority of that time). Finally broke my fever yesterday.

All 3 of mine have been Pfizer. The first one didn’t affect me too much, the second one got me down similar to the 3rd one… After a day I seem to be doing better.

Glad I didn’t have any critical errands to run!
