Great game!

Yay for Fridays!

My weather app lied to me. When I got up, it said it was 15Β° with 11 mph winds out of the north. So… bundle up for the walk. Only it wasn’t windy, and I’m pretty sure it was warmer than 15. Worked up a sweat, anyways…

And now… coffee.

Good morning.

Looking like it’s finally warming back up next week. Just in time for March–wait, it’s already March?! The heck is the year disappearing to.

Nothing on my plate today. Leveling one more new character to 80 and then that’ll be that until next Tuesday. I’m so excited. Goblins! Checking in about gardening stuffs and prepping for that.

I hope you all have a swell day and weekend!

Now you’ve got me considering setting up a garden. I’d want to have a raised bed, which I’d have to make. That wouldn’t be a deal breaker, I’m fairly handy, and it would probably be fun.

Definitely seeing more sun and watching the snow meltdown finally over where I am.

February almost over and nearing March.

I think it’ll be nice and relaxing, and it’ll be great to see the fruits of your labor. Also in a literal sense!

I’m planning on making a small bed, certainly not going to overextend myself when I am going in with a vague idea of what I’m doing. I’m certainly going to take Mirasol’s suggestions on some starting plants. I’m stopping by the hardware store after work to gather some seeds and get further advice.

Going to make a few mistakes, I’m sure, but just have to learn and improve from them. Maybe one way I’ll try to work up to having actual fruit. If I can one day manage a Granny Smith apple tree? I’ll be set for life.

Still got a lot of snow, but the sun is doing work. Looks downright gorgeous at points.

Thank you for the coffee!

I overdid it yesterday. I got up late but then got super inspired and did all the things. Much of it was over the head/high work which is hard on my back.

  • Painted the linen closet walls and ceiling with the last coast of white paint.
  • Went to the basement and painted 8 shelves with their second coat of paint on 3 sides.
  • Had too much paint in my tray so I painted a window cubby and most of a wall in the basement that was on my work list.
  • Thought I was done? No. I wallpapered the back wall of the closet with a removeable self stick waterproof wallpaper. White with grey and blue twig pattern. Wallpaper is tricky!!! Discovered the closet is wider at the bottom than at the top… I should have expected it because nothing is level or square here, but still. House was built in 1947. I dealt with it.

Realized it was after 7 by then and the cats were hungry. Fed them, did my check-in call with dad, and just dumped a can of gumbo soup over some rice and called it dinner.

I am sore today. Still need to go do more shelf painting, fix and paint a missing baseboard, and do laundry.

Sunny but still cold here. It is in the double digits so that is nice.

Split it down the middle. Do the laundry (easy part) and save the painting for when you’re not sore.

Or do BOTH!

I have already ventured to the basement and put another coat of paint on the 8 shelf boards. I forgot to do one yesterday so that one is behind.

Later today I can flip them and do the first coat of finish paint on the bottom side. Tomorrow I can do the last coat on them …and when dry put them back in the closet!

I am also going to install motion sensing lights in there. Laundry needs to be done so that the dusty towels I pulled out can be either packed away or put back. If I am not using something, there is no reason it has to be taking up shelf room.

Laundry is actually harder than the painting. More stairs and more lifting.

I have no stairs at my house, but I DO have laundry that needs doing - so you could always come here, and do mine! :stuck_out_tongue:

Do like I am - I’m dropping mine off. looks around the lounge We do have laundry service here, right?

It’s a beautiful day here - sunny, high 20s, very nice. We had a great little walk at lunch down the trail along the river. Sun, snow, a partly frozen river - just about perfect.

I had not even considered it! I did not built laundry machines. I don’t think the Lounge house even has a clothes line outside. I just…

Maybe we can make the gnomes do it once we fish them out of the coffee pool?

I’m lucky I guess. My room’s on the second floor and so are the washer and dryer. I also have a stair lift as well if I need it, though I prefer to manually walk up and down the stairs unless I’m so messed up I can’t do so since I need the excercise.

*Installs washing machine, fills it with coffee, and puts Mirasol in it and starts the cold brew cycle and then lifts Rufflebottom out of the coffee pool and puts her in the dryer on spin dry before going to the new clothes line and hanging upside down to sleep*

Dobby is a free house elf dobby has no master.

One of the benefits of having your house built on a slab. No dark, creepy, spidery, monster filled basement. :grimacing:

Hey, my basement is not creepy! Also not really dark. Thankfully it has 4 windows and there are no divider walls so it is open and fairly well lit, even with lights off.

It DOES have spiders sometimes though. Fine by me, they can patrol for ants. I HATE ants.

That is the downside to having a slab floor. You will always have to fight the ants.
