Generally speaking, the big selling point (true selling point) are exclusive titles.

Iā€™m an RPG kinda guy. Not in to shooters. Or even an online community really any more. This one is fine for me. Donā€™t care for PvP type of stuff. Iā€™ve lost my passion for gaming, as well as everything else, and thought maybe a change would help. Maybe something big and new(ish) and 4k would help keep my mind off of ā€¦things.

So for 4K youā€™re going to be looking at a PS4 Pro or the Xbox One X.
Also youā€™re going to have to break down RPG further. A lot of RPGs these days are heavy action. God of War, Spiderman, Kingdom Hearts 3, Horizon Zero Dawn for example.

I donā€™t know if Iā€™m looking for action like Monster Hunter, but Iā€™m intrigued by Anthem,FF15, Dark Souls 3, and the like . Of course thereā€™s always Elder Scrolls , NWN , and Witch 3. Heard some good things about Divinity. Iā€™m not in to Borderlands or Assassinā€™s Creed and the like. Maybe a Resident Evil.

Youā€™ve got a bit of reading and game-play to watch then.
Be careful with Anthem. Thereā€™s a good chance that EA screwed the game before launch.

EA sacrificed Mass Effect Andromeda to speed up Anthemā€™s development.
Theyā€™ve been torching games to exploit players and donā€™t seem to care. Stock investors have been digging their heels in with multiple publishers.

We had one of these bad-boys growing up:

The cartridges had handles on them so that you could pull them back out. Not kidding.

Edit: Iā€™ve also never met anyone since growing up that had one or has ever heard of itā€¦so not really surprised they didnā€™t make more! Haha!

And yea - FFIX and Tetris 99 out ā€œlater today,ā€ Zelda out this year, and FFVII out in March. Astral Chain looks kind of fun, too.
