That’s just large-scale WPVP. WPVP isn’t trolling, Zapey. I said something like this earlier.
Ah, here it is!
I fail to see how Cryptids League is trolling or abusing the system. Nothing in the system prevents WPVP raid groups. Ganking or farming players, as well as large-scale WPVP, is a part of the game, Zapey. Large-scale WPVP existed even back in Vanilla, with the SS vs TM battles (which Blizzard even made into a brawl, proving that they’re not against it). If you don’t like it, you’re free to leave Warmode.
On a side note, are you against my community as well? I lead WPVP raids against the Alliance. Actually, I believe you once said that you SUPPORTED what I was doing on a previous forum post. So why are you against CL doing it but not me?
Here’s what I’m referring to. It’s from the post “Victory in Vol’dun!”
If you read the full context, he’s saying Cryptids is abusing the battleground system by bringing in a full premade into an epic battleground.
The whole point of a Random Battleground is for it to be random. When you purposely bring a whole 40man premade into something that’s supposed to be random, you’re abusing the system.
He talked about that at first, and then started talking about how they also abuse it in WPVP. I was mainly addressing the WPVP aspect. I am not too familiar with how they apparently bring a full premade into a random battleground (do they summon or something?) so I can’t fully give my opinion on that part. But can’t you queue with people? So you can bring people you know into a random battleground (I don’t know how they bring all 40 but I think you can bring 5).
They split their raid into parties, and time it at the same time for when they queue up for the battleground. If the queue so happens to pop up for all of them at the same time, it means it was successful. If not all of them didn’t receive a queue, they can leave it and then queue at the same time once again.
I’ve run with this group before, I never experienced anything other than a good wpvp run. They typically go for raid groups and bounties. There is typically a well defined leader who uses raid warnings to keep everyone moving in the same direction and using the same tactics. Pretty sure this is why they do so well against Horde raid groups. Sometimes they will roll over a Horde FP but never stay long. Taking the top of the pyramid in Dazar’alor is always a good time with them. If only there were more Horde wpvp groups that played by those same rules.
Anyhow maybe this isn’t everyone’s experience with them but this is what I know. Too bad they won’t be doing as much WPvP, it’s been fun.
Well according to blizzard it doesnt happen often and is a non issue because of how infrequent it happens. Wish I could dig up lores old tweets from last year and link his surprise at how many things that have been happening for a while he outright said doesnt happen until we proved it.
Quick note, capitalizing randoms words doesnt make your points more or less valid and is just a weird way to try and convey thoughts.
Wpvp is FINE why would ANY group bring multiple raid groups when everyone KNOWS servers cant take it???
ITS just not this alliance group it’s ALSO horde communities that follow their lead and have TRIED to do the same except HORDE have horribly failed at doing the SAME they are neither that organized and, don’t have the NUMBERS its JUST not this one alliance community DOES it Horde has TRIED to do the SAME except it NEVER worked out for THEM.
Premades: now THEY want to crawl into battlegrounds to TROLL players in bgs with such large communities I simply DONT understand how all this is fun for anyone.
Why am I complaining? I can guarantee when this group starts premades in battlegrounds looking at the SIZE of their community and how active they were in Wpvp if they were to DO the same in battlegrounds I can’t imagine the CHOAS that will take place in bgs, not just this then the HORDE will follow and do the same to alliance, regular bgs will turn into a farming zone similar to Ashran and tolbarad.
IT has been FOR YEARS but in this expansion ITS not BEEN a thing. If THEY start i can already see what this WILL turn into.
Premades infestation in Ashran, tolbarad, wintergrasp all these places were a GROUND for premades and AV/IOC premades in the past. DO they REALLY need all this to start AGAIN? and cryptid is a known player in these maps so I am without a DOUBT they might be able to pull this off what they said in the post which comes down to IS IT good for the game?
Its NOT they need to stick to wargames or Rated and stay off random battlegrounds which is for CASUAL players.
So my alt happened to join a “random” AV that was filled with a majority of CL. It was truly impressive to watch 30ish organized people on snowy white gryphons take over an hour to defeat a random horde pug. I think the thing that impressed me the most was Cryptid telling people to spam “/y LOL” as if we had done something special.
I got 65 conquest on my alt, so that was nice. Otherwise, meh…
That being said, they totally lined up the snowy white gryphons in the field of strife for what was likely an addition to the CL family photo album.
@Krausser, there was an absurd amount of RP type yelling in chat. Stuff along the lines of “you have committed crimes against King Anduin” and all that. It was pretty cringey…
At least you won. I was in a Clan Battlehammer AV the other day and, despite following their instructions, we still lost. It took over an hour and was extremely embarrassing.
We could have easily ended that fight at any time. Members of “hydra” were in there random or not they will be dealt with accordingly… Random PuG or not…
/Y LOL
