Cruel barb, hunter vs rogue(long story)

meleeing hunter ninjas melee weapon from rogue

Do you need a guild?

Would you have been happy if a rogue or warrior needed on a bow that was an upgrade because it had Agi on it? Probably. Also, 12 attack power will barely make any difference at all to a hunter, whereas to a rogue every time they hit sinister strike, they’ll get extra damage from a higher damage weapon.

Getting ninja’s by a greedy hunter is about as authentic a vanilla experience as wow has to offer though, so you do you.

I mean this happens too. It’s just there are fewer ranged options in endgame.

12 AP is actually quite a lot at that level, not sure what you mean.

Not surprised it takes so little to entertain your intellect.

It’s not just over the 19 weapon it’s the principle that we argue over, your sense of delusion blinds you to the obvious of the issue at hand

And my point is an upgrade is an upgrade. Unless other loot rules were agreed to beforehand, need before greed is perfectly acceptable. Just because one person “needs” it more doesn’t mean the other person should be prevented from rolling. As long as the item is usable by their class, they should be free to roll on it if they wish. It’s not like the hunter rolled on a shield or something they can’t even use. Entitlement goes both ways.

am surprise no one ever made a chart on what is consider ok to roll on

strength is the worse stats for hunter worse than spirit or intel. So any hunter needing on strength gear should be consider ninja

Keep thinking that as you get banned from groups and posting about how vanilla is ruined by people

No where have I posted any such thing. If you want specific loot rules, then stipulate them before starting the run. Once one or more bosses are dead and the item you wanted drops, it’s too late.

And yet low level leather and mail gear often has strength.

idk, I always have and continue to simply ask if the weap is a bigger upgrade for someone else. I expect the same in return on range weaps. I wont take a melee weap from a melee class that is a clear upgrade, its their primary dps. Stats sticks are secondary weights to our dps. that’s all they are is stat sticks to us, I know we do melee at the odd time, but its far from the preferred method to hunter.

I have a Hunter; I wouldn’t do what you did. While you would gain a bit of attack growth from a cruel barb, you’d be just as well suited by a green 1hander with + agility. It is, at most, a very very slight DPS increase for you while probably being an enormous DPS increase for the rogue. I’d be saying the same thing if the rogue took a bow from you just because it had decent stats on it. It would inevitably be a much larger increase to the functionality of your character than it would be for him. If you don’t understand this, I don’t know what to tell you. You’re basically a person who thinks +5% for you is better than +30% for someone else. It’s greedy. Ya gotta be better than that. Ya gotta get to be a better person first, then we can make improvements on your World of Warcraft game.

Also, sword rogue is incredibly common, especially while leveling. It is the least positionally or stealth- reliant spec that they can do, so it lends itself well to being able to kill multiple mobs at a time while visible. The other specs involve a lot of backstabbery or from-stealth abilities, whereas Combat sword/mace rogue can just stand in someone’s face and actually “hang-in.”

Come on there champ, ya gotta get more altruistic AND development more game sense!

And so it continues.

Do not fear my hunter friend! … all weapons are hunter weapons! if they weren’t you would not be allowed to use them. Also [ Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker ] is a hunter weapon non the less.

People like yourself are the reason Hunters always had a bad name in vanilla. Nice to see you are picking up the torch and carrying the flame for the next generation of Huntards.

Ditto. I also agreed melee classes should get first dibs.

How about we try to avoid blanket statements?

It’s just as much my right to not invite players like OP to my group as it is his right to roll on melee weapons over melee classes.

You can play the game however you want but some actions have consequences. If you consistently participate in activities that a large portion of the player base doesn’t consider good team play don’t expect to keep getting invited to groups.

Absolutely you are right. But making a fuss over an item that can be obtained again is not a best choise. He did offer to run it again so in the end getting angry over item is showing community how nice that player is. Member its only game that can be replayed over and over again.

No surprise you play a panda.

When you fall short of anything to say, you are what happens.
