Cruel barb, hunter vs rogue(long story)

this “herd” mentality by all the hunters is funny… really puts it into perspective…

I had always thought the “huntard” stigma was just over-blown opinion… but if this thread teaches me anything, it’s that it takes a certain kind of “special” to play hunter lol.

the mindset they all seem to have is just staggering…

Kind of a jerk move really. Just because it had AP it does not mean it will be so much beneficial for you vs the boost the rogue would get. I could see the guild flip out if you did it to a guildie but non guild member not so much. Either way you should be in a backseat for luxury like that and clearly this is the retail player mentality. Better adjust or they will adjust you.

Your confirmation bias is staggering. I’ve said since my first post in this thread that the Hunter should pass it to the melee. It’s fair game if they want to take it, but I personally wouldn’t as the Rogue gets more benefit.

When offered with a different scenario (with pre-raid BiS no less), you simply say, “That doesn’t happen”. Given that it does and absolutely will, what are you going to say about the Rogues and Warriors taking Blackcrow over a Hunter?

Your constant use of the word, “huntard” is also super cringey man.

All of you that are against the OP, are wrong. You can not look at it as who can use the item more then other. Both players pay for the game with their hard earn cash. Therefore both players have the right to roll on item that they CAN use. No player has the right to tell another player how to play game. In end if you can use the item you have the right to roll.

“You don’t pay my $15” is a stupid excuse. The OP is more than welcome to take it, but they absolutely won’t get the same use out of it and it’s far, far less important as a Hunter to have.

Hunters should get ANY ranged weapon over any melee regardless who needs it more. that’s proper etiquette

if the shoe fits…

So… do you call them Roguetards then? Warrtards? Cause it happens a lot, and nobody bats an eye.

I can assure you it doesn’t happen in proper groups, people with etiquette and manners don’t do selfish sh_t.

Once people get out of the “retail mentality” and realize, that their actions have REAL consequences… hopefully everyone will smarten up a bit and start playing with class. One can hope anyway…

Hunters taking melee doesn’t happen in proper groups either. You can’t speak for every Rogue and Warrior in a PuG either, as they are individuals and they can easily roll for a ranged weapon.

Not sure why you have this chip on your shoulder about Hunters when they’re one of many classes who do exactly the same thing.

as a rogue id be upset but meh i dont care. just know to not get mad when i or another rogue/warrior need on a gun or bow.

I guess you don’t understand what it means when you pay for something. When one pays for something, they have all the right to use the product as they wish. When it comes to game yes hunter cant use as much as rogue can. But that is irrelevant in business world. He has all the right to roll like any one else.

Exactly.

Live by the sword…

This is why our guilds always gave priority to the warriors, pallys and rogues on melee and hunters on ranged. It’s a matter of courtesy and cooperation.

Here’s the thing, for a hunter that is bis for a longggggg time! Especially when you dual wield them! Is it a bigger upgrade for a rogue? Sure. But it’s a level 28 drop until we are in pre-raid bis land that’s s stupid argument. And I play a priest who loses spirit gear to mages all the time! This is just the facts of leveling… if that bothers you, run an all guild group!

Secondly leave that guild yesterday! They are toxic AF! Why would you want be in a guild with people who are going to treat you like that…

That’s just not true. If the bow results in a dps upgrade for the hunter the hunter gets it. Same with the cruel barb for the rogue, or a 2h dps for the warrior. Doesn’t matter guild run or pug.

Any guild that allows a high end bow to go to a warrior when it’s an upgrade for the hunter who uses it as a primary weapon, isn’t worth a crap, as I said before.

So I assume these loot rules are established ahead of time? If so, fair enough. Anyone who doesn’t agree can find another group. If not though…then standard need before greed applies IMO.

Yes, of course rules are established in advance. We never had to resort to ML either, because people respected the rules. Our goal was to gear up our guild and the best way to do that was to cooperate.

In raids, we used SK loot distribution which worked very well.

I suppose in the end it’s a matter of preference, but we had less drama our way.

I wonder how often loot rules were agreed to in advance when someone comes to the forums complaining about ninjas?

that didn’t happen nearly as often as claimed.

Retail loot rules suck on toast now and that’s another reason I don’t play. I like players to have the discretion.

Nah like I said you’re just a giggle little mate.

Take the sword its low level deadmines. It gets out leveled anyways. I needed the agility, intellect ring and so did the priest. I am a tank paladin. I could super use agility to help tanking stats. I also really need int.

Technically i could use the ring more than the priest… he won. The group was also mad at me for needing.

I still don’t care that the priest won. I also don’t care that the group was made at me needing it.
