that’s bc you were nothing more then a free HK…and a complete bozo irrivelent a no skill if you had any you would understand there was no rivalry bc you were not a challenge.
I think that many of you are fake, furthermore it’s pretty safe to assume the only vanilla you experienced was with the ice-cream. Making comments like that I just SMH seriously.
It was only a matter of time before someone accused everyone who doesn’t want what they want of being bads and cheating the system.
I also bought grand marshal gear with honor points on my paladin in vanilla (without rank). just because it happened in vanilla doesn’t mean it should be in classic.
I can pretty much agree with that.
Initially Classic Warcraft is going to be overpopulated, then the people that brought us the current incarnation of Warcraft are going to realize that they don’t get participation epics and pretty much free gold and rep and they’re going to quit and go back to Hellish Mediocrity Warcraft while complaining that Classic Warcraft was too hard and no fun.
Pretty much everything you said will be true in stages. Wait till they figure out that the Paladin have a Warlock get free mounts! All you have to do is spend around a week farming up mats and around 80 gold that you end up buying speciality items from vendors and then about another 20 gold for things you can’t make and have to buy from the auction house. Honestly, I can’t wait to hear the meltdowns in city chat as people realize that they’ll have to work for what they get!
What’s really going to be funny is watching them realize that they have to use all their abilities just to kill one mob and that two at the same time is a death sentence.
I don’t like it either. But it’s not gonna happen. Blizzard is going to do as little as possible - right or wrong. If it’s too much work, it’ll be working as intended.
You’re of no interest to me. Please refrain from stalking me.
I’d like to mention that Blizz said a “Medium” populated server for Classic is equivalent to a “Full” server back in the day.
That statement, alone, should be enough to at least start with realm only BGs. If long que times are still an issue, implement your CRBGs.
You could also limit realm only BGs to PvP servers, if Normal and RP servers have that big of an issue with long que times.
High pop servers who can easily survive without CRBG shouldn’t have to be subjected to CRBG just because one low pop RPPVP server has long queues.
People want to roll on low pop servers so there’s no competition then expect to have all the benefits of a high pop server when it conveniences them.
Gross entitlement.
Trust me, by and large RPers on RPPVP realms dislike CRBGs as well, if solely for the immersion-killing nature of it.
Now that I’ve had time to think about it… We’re going to have cross realm battlegrounds, the reason I’m saying this is that I’ve been playing Warcraft since Vanilla and only one time have I seen the Blizzard team take under consideration and act based upon the wishes of the PVP community. If you were a raider and you complained to Blizzard that you didn’t like PVP players getting epics based upon the fact that you and your buddies go play “Dance Dance Revolution” in front of raid bosses every week and have to “work” for epics, I have no doubt that Blizzard would start selling greys at the PVP vendors, but you, you just PVP, they aren’t going to listen to you.
Nobody said it’s game breaking.
It’s community breaking.
This
That’s a solution to a problem that wouldn’t exist without CRBG.
With a lesser number of servers there will be more players per server which directly removes the need for CRBG. My logic is sound.
Snowflake
Lmao
Not at the launch of battlegrounds.
I agree that BGs shouldn’t be xrealm until phase 6. 100%.
This is Classic. It’s also 1.12 Classic.
Also no 1.5 AV, sorry.
My personal opinion is I don’t care either way. I would be fine without the cross realm battlegrounds, but I am happy to get whatever I can. In the long term it probably makes more sense to have cross realm BGs implemented.
“Why not wait till a later phase to implement them?” They probably have a few reasons. It’s less work, and it sets expectations for what you are getting. You won’t have people complaining that you are going to turn on cross realm BGs at some point cause it will already be on. Cross realm BGs offer a lot of balance and faster queue times which is very appealing, and just the fact that it was implemented by 1.12 pretty much is the final answer as they are not going to be very progressive about making changes to content, just opening the content around the times they were released.
I do think there will be plenty of realm community around even with cross realm BGs.
If this were true they would have never been needed in the first place. Also why I think thes an untold reason behind blizz putting them in with bg’s.
I think cross realm bgs affected premades dodging premades, win trading, and paid ranking services. I also think this is why some avatars are using this community excuse.
Community sounds logical until you ask the question:What about cross server community. Like battlegroups.
The whole reason people are dying for Classic is they miss the sense of community, comradery and rivalries. Cross realm BGs squashed that. It makes more sense to not have cross realm BGs if the whole point of classic is to bring back the community experience that has been lost through expansions.
I know I’ll said I’ll bow out of this thread, but I’m being quoted a lot. I’ll try to keep up, I’m at work right now so I’m squeezing random replies between. Sorry if I miss anything.
It’s a bit of a stretch to call entitlement. I was more leaning on the idea that you perhaps rolled on a realm that’s not as PvP oriented due to a guild you’re in, or maybe where your friends went, and so on.
I was also thinking of the idea that for example Herod, Stalagg, whatever others are flourishing with queues as the game begins to age (again), however another realm begins to drop off causing low pop. Do we put that realm into some kind of Cross Realm list? I feel Blizzard may as well get that system started rather than have those players suffer before the change.
Sorry if it seemed like I explained it like a problem. It’s not. I had a blast meeting so many people and learning about other groups.
Why not just let the player choose whether they want to queue for server-specific or cross-realm, instead of forcing cross-realm upon us.
It was needed in the first place because the addition of servers and use of free server transfers spread the community too thin.
Premades make a very small minority of the playerbase.
No, it’s because community actually matters and people actually care about it.
Endless random faces is not a community and it’s irrelevant anyway since battlegroups didn’t come into play until CRBG were introduced.
That’s perfectly fine, but if you roll on a server that isn’t pvp oriented, and you’re not a pvp oriented player, then why expect the community to take a hit just so you can have instant pvp queue pops? That’s entitlement.
Choices like that divide the community which, again, is what we want to preserve by removing CRBGs as a whole.
I doubt the player is going in expecting the game to entitle them to anything. I referring to the players who are joining their friends, guild, love one, etc on whichever realm they happened to choose.
I could argue that it’s your entitlement that some players have to be punished because they happened not to fit within what you believe is the requirements for them to enjoy battlegrounds without excessive long wait times.
