I hope they change their minds about cross realm bgs. Community and rivalry are more important than queue times.

Xrealms will take away from the sense of community within servers.
No cross realm BGs. Please reconsider Blizzard. The realms are high enough pop that queues should not be an issue. If it becomes an issue later down the road then add CRBGs. Or as others have said, include an algorithm that prioritizes people from the same server first.

Rivalry comes in the form of server verse server premades. Also if you queue BG’s at say 10 pm in your timezone everyday, I guarantee you’ll see the same regular faces who also BG at that time. Same thing happened during BC and wrath.

Another aspect to consider is that there are so few servers. There may only be like 2 battle groups. You’ll have internal battle group rivals for sure.

You don’t get to call something “inauthentic” just because you don’t want it. They were in Vanilla, they’ll be in Classic.

On Balnazzar, we were lucky to see an AV pop up on the weekends. CRBGs hit and suddenly we had five open. Furthermore, CRBGs touched off battlegroup-wide PvP initiatives that made people a whole lot of friends and stoked some pretty fun rivalries.
Anyone saying they destroyed community is just being a selfish weenie.

Like I told the other guy, I’m sorry you never got to experience this on your own server. Seeing the same groups out in the world that you saw in the BGs was extremely fun.

I like being able to hold grudges against people from my realm in bgs, I don’t want no offrealmer weirdos.

Are they serious? There was a huge outcry when this happened.
What? One of my accounts is from December 2004. I experienced it. I also experienced BG’s not popping for hours, BG’s completely stopping during the morning and Alterac valley only sometimes popping on weekends. And I played on a pvp server. It’d be even worse for all the pve realms.

Since 1 I highly doubt they will change it at this point and 2 there is gonna be queue issues if drop off happens on some realms.
Not having long queues is definitely more important.

Balnazzar was one of the worst servers in Vanilla. I’m not saying that’s your fault but Classic servers are not going to have the population problems of Vanilla.
I don’t. Sure you used lots of words and nice punctuation and tried to make your tone reasonable but my summation is basically what your point boils down to.
Long story short, pvpers want to actually pvp. Not wait for a specific time during the week just to play against bob on the other faction who sucks anyway so the game lasts 10 mins and ur back waiting another day to bg.

You don’t seem sorry. Without crossrealm bg’s there would be tons of people who don’t get to experience that. If you were actually sorry you would support xrealm bgs.
