I don’t know how many dungeons I’ve done since the patch, but I’ve literally seen 0 that have had any kind of animosity towards cross faction people. This has been in mythic 0 - mythic 17/18 keys.
Everyone who actually pugs a decent amount and/or has common sense knew cross faction pug grouping wasn’t going to be a panacea for alliance unless you are a very geared alliance character and with a more than decent IO. For those folks, it’s been awesome because the pool of groups available is MUCH larger than it was before. In fact, I’d even be pretty confident wagering that every group I’ve been in has been a cross faction group of some kind.
Problem is, alliance left of bell curve and/or behind the curve types are competing now with a huge flood of people who, on the whole, are more progressed and geared. You already stood low chances to find groups and now you have even less chance. The general advice to get good and do whatever you can to stand out and be an attractive pick is still as important as ever.
This. Ive played both sides. This is moomoo bs
Blizzard is pretty clear that group leaders are free to accept, decline and kick whoever they want for whatever reason they want.
Yeah, I believe this is people rationalizing that they weren’t accepted because they were Alliance. I mean, I could’ve declined someone because they are not the class I want in my composition, their ilvl is too low or even their raider.io score. I could even decline someone because I didn’t like how their name ended in a consonant instead of a vowel, but I bet they’ll just think it was because of their faction.
Just let people change factions for free at the barbershop at this point. Would solve 99% of the problems.
The biggest issue is people don’t want to pay money to switch factions especially not $30+.
Benefit of the doubt, the cross-faction grouping was made for people who want to play whatever race they prefer with their friends…not for random pick up groups, which seems to be a common misconception.
Baloney goes good with lettuce, tomato and a spicy mustard.
This has been my experience both before and after cross-faction grouping. There are definitely way more groups to get declined from now though
I haven’t seen any significant animosity for being Alliance, just the standard hatred for any non-meta spec. When every group has 3 spots dedicated to Destro + Survival + one other DPS (often the keyholder), you’re getting declined 95%+ unless you are those two specs
How you gonna feel about that huge list of FDK applicants when you been waiting 30 mins for a BDK? If you wanna get invites, play a useful role. MDPS in general is extremely limited on how many you can take. Also, just list your dang key. You can buy out that inconvenience of playing a non-useful role by providing the entry fee.
I wouldn’t know but gathering from this thread the OP must be speaking hyperbolically. On the other hand deliberately taking longer to fill your group because imaginary politics would be hilarious if it wasn’t a little sad.
