Cross faction is here

I already found a new home. WoW won’t bore me anymore.

Lmao salty worgen is going around crying cause their little precarious faction conflict no longer exists

I know you’re excited to race change asap so you can stop being an ugly race and still play with a higher pop faction, but some of us like the immersion of warring factions.

See fellows the worgen barks but it doesn’t bite.

This statement coming from a Worgen and all I can think of is a dog being adopted.

Congratulations on your new home! Not being facetious when I say that. Curious what you’re new home is. WoW has been boring me for a while and nothing has made me happy like reading about the option to allow people to play with who they want to play with. For me it’s great to see game play reflect how the story has progressed. For players against it, at least they don’t have to opt in if they don’t want to.

And some of us like the immersion of playing a hero and not being forced into a conflict.

Even though you want to kill his entire race?

All I want to do is be part of daddy N’zoths faction. I will resurrect him to kill you all.

I’d rather just kill both Horde and Alliance loyalists.

This right here. It’s somehow fine if our immersion is broken by having Horde and Alliance constantly come together to fight the villain of the expansion, every single dungeon and every single raid, but God forbid we break the “immersion” of people thinking that faction conflict is still a prevailing theme of this game.

What? A lot of mmos are either cross faction or no faction.

The story hasn’t progressed. It’s been neutered.

Here you drop this king https://youtu.be/wUSTP9DvvT0

I hope they open up guilding eventually just to further help with organization but I think we can manage with communities in the meantime.

It’s definitely a good change! I can’t wait!

Yes, but those games weren’t built around warring factions like the Warcraft universe was. This isn’t just an end to a status on WoW, it’s an end to the core of Warcraft itself. People that cared about this franchise should be mourning, not celebrating.

WoW was built around WC3s success. The game where the factions were literally pushed to the side to stop Archimonde from destroying the World Tree.

Like I understand how you can say that about PvP, but cross faction raiding and dungeons? They have no purpose being faction locked.

Damn you killed the worgen logic

You can have both. They’re allowing people to opt out of it if they don’t want to group with the other faction, whilst maintaining open world hostility.

I view it as the factions are still at an armistice and could go back to war at any time but that some of our heroes have decided to take a more neutral standpoint and cooperate with one another to deal with the real issues–as they’ve been doing in the lore for decades anyway.
