What happens when a cross faction guild turns WM on? Can they PVP with their alliance buddies on their horde characters? Can they kill their guildies? Do the guildies get to fight alongside them against any faction?
When? This is the only question that matters.
…a guild doesn’t turn warmode on, players do.
And I assume that you would be allowed to fight other players in your guild in warmode, the same way you could get e.g. randomly sorted into opposite sides of an arena skirmish.
I don’t see why people wouldn’t be able to kill each other.
In cross faction raids does your aoe affect the xfaction players in the raid? No. There are mechanics in place to prevent this. I’m certain they will react the same in the above circumstances.
I say every man for himself!
Time to shine rogues!
I was in a warmode on guild in BfA. They didn’t tell you everybody was supposed to have warmode on until after you accepted their invite. There was some major weirdness about that.
I mean Ion said it’s coming in a recent interview, so if they are just now mentioning it, I can’t imagine it’ll be here any time soon.
Seeing as cross faction guilds don’t exist, this is impossible to answer.
This is likely on a very long list of cross faction guild challenges to overcome.
I think they should change warmode to FFA PVP if factions are removed or at least become cosmetic with the addition of cross faction Guilds.
The question really is, while cross faction guilds mean anything out in the world? I would assume the standard faction rules would still apply in WM but then what if we are allowed to group with cross faction guild mates out in the world? I would expect Horde to be able to attack me while I am out in WM with a Horde guild mate. But he can’t attack his fellow Horde players but could he heal me?
The entire situation is going to have a mess of odd rules…
