Cross faction all or nothing

Not on that character. Unless armory is just wrong.

How did we go from “I want to play with my friends” to “The Horde is being written out of the game?”

These are two completely different topics that have nothing to do with each other. The health of the game should not be held hostage by an outdated idea from 2004 about faction pride.

i did on this one

Then play the same faction, or play a game that doesn’t have factions.

It’s absurd that people suddenly realized, after 20 years, that WoW was a game with 2 factions, and just declared “well, that’s unacceptable”.

you just cant accept that an orc would want to queue with a dwarf or something? like i dont get it and what my raiding history has to do with this is beyond me.

It has nothing to do with it, he’s just a metamancer who’s mad Dwarves are meta.

What I can’t accept is that somebody can “play mostly as Horde” and be ok with doing things almost entirely for the Alliance in Dragonflight, in Shadowlands, in Bfa, and in Legion.

Unless you just play entirely in dungeons and don’t do any of the story or outside world, which, sure, such players exist. I don’t get it, but they do.

I have more than 1 friend who plays WoW, and they play opposite factions.

And I think it’s absurd to tell someone to play a different game when cross faction content has been pretty heavily promoted by Blizzard themselves.

What’s being asked for isn’t some fundamental change to the game that destroys the core of Warcraft’s essence. It’s a quality of life feature so people don’t leave WoW and play those other games that don’t have this outdated restriction.

it has nothing to do with doing stuff for horde or alliance, i want to do stuff with my guild members, and be able to show my orcs professions to the alliance so they can send me orders, and vice versa.

Sure, by the same people who have written the Horde out of the game. I don’t particularly care what people who ignore half their playerbase think, though. In fact, they should be replaced.

If having two factions is a problem, fine - DELETE THE ALLIANCE FROM THE GAME and roll everybody’s Alliance characters over to Horde. Turn all the Alliance NPC’s into loot pinatas and expunge them from the game that way.

And there is it. the reason your opinion is just toxicity rather than valuable input.

An alternative to ffa could be randomly partying you when you turn it on - they could rename warmode to bandit mode

That said warmode as a worldwide Dalaran fight club does have some appeal

The only pvp I’ve ever enjoyed was Legion FFA stuff (Dalaran sewers, the wq arenas) fwiw

What, for thinking the developers are doing a terrible job? They are.

The only thing keeping the lights on is classic.

thats a laughable thought.

Just to clarify where I’m coming from:

I played Horde on a PvP server from vanilla all the way to the beginning of Cataclysm.
I was heavy into PvP, especially world PvP. I would level a character to level 20 and then go spend entire weekends in Redridge fighting equal level Alliance.
I would spend more time fighting than questing in Stranglethorn Vale.

I was the level 30 trying to spam crowd control on level 60’s to help out my side in those Tarren Mill vs Southshore battles.

I would run guild PvP events where we killed faction leaders, used deviate delights to transform into pirates and take over the Alliance boats, and would defend low level Horde towns that were under attack by checking WorldDefense.

PvP was my life back then.
I quit for awhile and came back for Warlords of Draenor. One of my friends was playing Alliance so I made an Alliance to play with them on the only RP-PvP server of Emerald Dream. And there I fought for the Alliance.

I sought out Warsong Battalion and tried to make them pay whenever I found one of their members out in the world. I would come to the aid of people getting camped. I’d fight like crazy through Legion and BFA.

Sadly, once Shadowlands came around, the world PvP on Emerald Dream had really started to die off. But I still play in war mode and I still take the fights that I can get, but I mostly do battlegrounds now.

And while I am all “For the Alliance!”, I enjoy battleground blitz which is cross faction because it’s still PvP.

And with that said, I want to play with my friends that play Horde, without having to reroll a new character or play a different game.

If it’s “nothing” then this game becomes “nothing” within a couple months.

This game desperately needed cross-faction. It needs to be expanded to include queued content as an extremely high priority.

Agreed with you completely.

Being able to play with friends and guildmembers is more important than trying to adhere to the faction vs faction lore which is at this point outdated itself anyway.

How about everything is cross faction, but for guilds and queues, a person can choose to click a box to do current faction only? Outside LFR, that still requires premade groups.

There is no point in a “common” language is it is not common between the factions.

Play on an alliance heavy server, all dragonflight whenever a horde guildy or alt needed to find a crafter for orders I’d have to have them link me the item, then spam trade chat for them, then explain the order will come from someone else; normally lead by some questions about why a druids trying to order plate.
At the very least trade chat and all other economy things needs to be perma-cross faction if theyre gonna keep crafting orders the way they are.

Yeah. “content.”
