Can Blizzard just pick a side on if they want cross faction stuff to be a thing or not? Trying to do professions on your favorite race/main that so happens to be on the minority side of a server means you sink hours of time and tens of thousands of gold into professions to not be seen. Can’t even properly post it through a macro on the other faction side because it pulls up a blank window. Not to mention i can’t go out and quest with a guildy of an opposing faction because i can’t heal them even if they need it because target is “unfriendly”, they’re a guild member that makes no sense. Can’t cross faction queue unless its a 5 stack. Like either get in the water with the cross faction stuff and open up the barriers that are staying there for no reason, or stay out of the water and close it all up, knit picking between what cross faction stuff we can do and then saying you’re ending the faction war is ridiculous. Create a merged trade chat for the expansions capital so people from both sides can advertise stuff, let me heal my opposing faction guildy in the open world, let me queue with them too while you’re at it.

I’m in agreement with you. I’m finding it wrong that my guild can’t be seen by the “opposite” faction although we have both factions in my guild. We can’t queue for content together, which adds to the frustration for us because we now need multiple characters from both factions to max level to do end-game content with if we need to queue for that content. The people in my guild would like to play with each other… so please figure it out and deal with it.

I agree. The fact that I can’t do random queues with my friend while they’re playing horde is an abomination. Either do cross-faction all the way, or don’t do it (they better choose all the way, especially since I’ll be able to still hang out with my Ally friends while still being on horde and vice versa).
I don’t like the idea of the factions being friendly. It just doesn’t make any sense. Even if it did make sense I still wouldn’t like the idea. I want faction conflict.
In TWW the two factions showing up in boats side by side… just gross. Absolutely terrible.
Turalyon insulting the Horde and his 2nd in command riding on a horse with mounted heads from the major Horde races… brilliant. I want more of that. I want war, I want chaos. I want their to be interesting characters like Turalyon and Trollbane. I want less Thrall and Jaina, and I want less empathetic characters that just need a hug.
I’d be happy with just having crossfaction dungeons, raids and world questing if grouped honestly, everything else separate can stay that way like I don’t ever want to see Alliance in Horde cities or Horde in Alliance cities because they don’t need to be but queues and just basic hanging out isn’t big of a deal.
With this attitude I’d wager your friends list is empty.

Give us back faction stories and faction territories. Don’t cut content for the convenience of MMO tourists.

The only restriction is the queue. Grab friends from both factions and treat it like a M+ dungeon.

To be fair, people who don’t care about the story in an MMO, are kinda weird, ngl.
The faction barriers breaking down has been terrible for the fidelity of the game.

This part not as much because honestly I don’t care what others do like even with crossfaction stuff/more crossfaction stuff I don’t think it’s a big deal because they don’t have to use it but how they play, RP, whatever is their choice not mine so I don’t/won’t let that bother me at all.
It’s no different IRL, some people become infatuated by their preferred “party” or faction if you will. It consumes the news cycle these days.
I have some tinfoil hat theories on how we got here, but I’ll save that for another time.
Fact is we have learnt that hating is cool, and it should be done at all times.
Oh I do care about the story, trust me. But at this point, there is nothing story wise that could potentially have a faction war make sense. That part of the story is done for now. Let it end gracefully. If you keep trying to push it, Blizzard is going to just sour the whole idea overall, and Battle for Azeroth is proof of that.
They’re already setting up for more faction stuff. I don’t know if it will start or conclude in this expansion, but it’s already starting. (edit: I phrased this weird… oh well)
I can appreciate people wanting to play with friends who are cross faction, that much I have no issues with. But the story itself needs to stay red vs blue.
