There is many people from SA that play WoW and many of them don’t speak english.
Back in Vanilla, the Warsong-US server became the “brazilian server” which almost 100% of its players speaking portuguese and the server were extremelly crowded.
North americans would also complain from time to time about south americans talking in portuguese or spanish on trade chat or party chats.
That being said, SA never really had SA servers. Not even on retail. Even thou you find servers labeled as “brazilian” on retail, they are all located in US and SA players have to deal with 300+ ms latency.

I just find it funny that everyone is all #nochanges then turns around and asks for tons of changes. There was no BR or SA client in classic. They would need to create a whole different language pack for classic which is a ton of work.

BR client exists for a very long time now and this isn’t an issue. Brazilians that don’t speak english will play classic with BR client just fine. But get ready to not have a clue when someone tell you to go to “Vento Bravo” or “Alta Forja”. Or when you read in trade chat “LFM Minas Mortas”.
I’m brazilian myself and I don’t care. I play on US servers since 2005 and never had a problem, but I understand the struggle of other players from my country which are a very good amount of paying consummers.
But hey. Perhaps you are right and the #nochange should apply to it as well. Can’t wait to see old memes like “GIME MONY PLS! I REPORT U” coming back to life.
For retail yes, but the quests on retail and on Classic are not the same. This is why people wanted Classic in the first place is because Cata changed the world.

The servers will still be in LA or Chicago no matter what they are designated. All the servers in the Americas region are in those data centers.
when your fighting those players they will be lagging and bouncing everywhere, it happens in retailwith rag and azralon players every time.
It will never happen, there aren’t that many SA/BR players interested to play Classic on a LONG TERM basis. Also SA and BR can’t be put into the same realm, therefore Blizz would have to open 2 realms and they don’t want to do that. They want to assure that realms remain highly populated during all phases.
Lol. That’s well within a reasonable ping to play the game.
The issue with any game isn’t ping, as much as it is lag spikes.
