Crazy idea to promote exemplary behavior

It would be cool to see a buff for players nominated for exemplary behavior. Maybe +3% to all damage / healing, or +15% gold dropped from all NPC kills, etc. Give it a 7 day duration and make it account wide. You could call it ‘Gift for the Kind’ or something along those lines. I’m thinking that you would have to nominate the recipient for some above and beyond in game action. Once reviewed if it was verified the recipient could receive the buff.

Please feel free to expand on this idea, or you can tell me it’s stupid if you’d rather. Whatever makes you happy.

yea no guilds would abuse this like no tomorrow

it cant gain power. but a 2% looted gold…

Oh look the people who paid everybody gold randomly got the buff…

On 2nd thought I 2nd this… There’s money to be had and I don’t care about world 1st

No gameplay related buffs. A title, a profile badge, but anything that would buff your character is a hard no.

“Hello, Sir, hope you are having a pleasant day. You are looking very nice today. Please and thank you”

Give me my buffs

Just make it a mount or pet, people love that stuff and it won’t break the game. People will exploit the system to get said mount or pet though but that’d be the case regardless of reward as long as it is a good enough reward.

Hmm. Perhaps a cosmetic buff like a glowing icon over the character (not the portrait) like a thumbs up.

While I am all for more kindness, having staff review recomendations for buffs would increase workload and budget so is not likely to be something Blizz would do.

Automated might be a thing, but I feel that could be exploited with guilds or friends recommending key players to get them the buffs. It would not be real, so much as knowing enough people to submit you as kind.

The concept is great, but implementing it would be challenging.

Man I want some chocolate cake. Sorry what was this thread about?

This isn’t how economics works. You give all the gold to the richest person and it trickles down.

poor people are bad with money even when they have it… rich people find a way.

It’s true have you tried carrying a bunch of loose coins? they fall out

Hell to the naw.

Why? When I help someone out, I don’t tell anyone else because I don’t want anyone else to know. I’m a mean, evil, wicked, rotten, nasty, ************ and I don’t want people thinking otherwise! I got a bad reputation to uphold. /spit

What? No! Those are my presents in the bag I’m carrying to the orphanage. Stop interrogating me! :smiling_imp:

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

This comment is hilarious because the sarcasm is spot on and people really do say that kinda stuff lol.

Or the community can come up with it’s own third party solution via RaiderIO or somewhere else.

Or… You can treat each other like human beings because that’s how you would want to be treated.

Shouldn’t have to be rewarded for that. And if that’s what it takes then my God humans just aren’t worth it anymore
