On my level 80 Haranir mage I killed the rare Dracaena in Haranar. I believe two other ungrouped characters also tagged the mob before it died. I was awarded a Crawler’s Mindscythe but it required level 90 to equip. It’s been my experience that Midnight rares always drop something appropriate for your character’s level even if they aren’t the right armor or weapon type for your class.
Not sure why this particular item was an exception, but I thought I’d report it here.
Edit: I had another kill on the same mage at level 89 with the same result. No other players were present during this kill.
