I understand lowering the rep on this to make it more accessbile, but it’s a slap in the face to people who spent the time and money to grind out honored to get their rune.
Are you adding rewards for ppl who got honored? Maybe a blue we can buy off the vendor? A consumable or something?
I spent a lot of time and gold to grind this out, and all that work is seems wasted.
I could have used that gold to work on my tanking rune. A lot of my resources went into that.
I’m glad it’s more accessible, but I am just frustrated how much time and money I spent on this and nothing to show for it.

you are ahead of the curve now. somewhere it was mentioned rep is needed for more rewards in different phases.

I’m sure next phase will have some new rewards for the higher reputation.
At least you got the grind done now, instead of having to trickle feed it for the rest of the season

I honestly am hesitant to start working on tanking rune now. Is that going to get nerfed after I spend 20+ gold on salvaging kits?

probably not. just play the game and get your runes.
Everything gets nerfed when the level cap increases.

Did you come on here after watching a scottiejay video to repeat what he said word for word and whine about a 4-6 hour grind to go from friendly to honored?
You will need it for future phases I am sure, you also can buy a 12 slot bag for cheaper than all the mats cost to grind the boxes., you’ll be fine.
This was hotfixed in last night during one of their random… well, hotfixes. No notes on it, but it is Friendly now.
Yeah, I’m confused here too. I don’t see a new blue post, nor do I see anything from the devs on Twitter.
I don’t have an alt anywhere near friendly at the moment so I can’t check. Main is already honored.

Was dreading the grind on my warrior & priest alts, but this makes it a little bit better.
Now if they would just make the shredder turbochargers obtainable in more than one way besides paying engineers out the nose for the privilege to get a 60% chance at looting one from a dead shredder.

There are crafting recipes. It’s also completely possible Blizzard adds more runes to this rep grind in the future once they fix crate stacking.
Rep suddenly stops once you’re honored I believe, which is probably to allow higher level crates to scale you at higher levels. And they don’t want people to have too much of a head start on the next runes.
You will need higher level crates to continue with the rep grind, those will start to drop once the next phase comes in, as the rep is gated right now at honored it appears, with the next phase likely going to revered, and exalted being available in the final phase.
There will likely be additional rewards at each level, most likely bags, with options for additional runes, armor, weapons or recipes.
This feels like a good change, still requiring some effort, but not making it an extreme rep grind for some classes.
