Crashing, freezing, and stuttering after 8.3 [Intel GPUs]

Don’t rule out N’zoth.

I thought it was the baruk stoneshapers freezing our computers. They turned my character to stone and then the rainbow circle started turning leading to a crash. I was like wow thats a very powerful spell!!!

Can Blizz explain why some of us were bug free for a few days, and now we’re back to this plight? really frustrating with little to no logic to explain why this is. You have lost potentially thousands of subscribers due to this - cancelling my sub until this is fixed.

I have been having all the issues listed above. Have Blizzard even publicly acknowledged that there is an issue or that theyre working to fix it? obviously there isnt a timeline on a resolution of the issue either.

Is there some way we can get a refund for our wasted subscription before we eject ourselves from this travesty?

Id doubt that, but agree that Blizz should do something. Particularly with how crippling the bug is. The game is literally unplayable.

I just contacted Blizzard and asked to have this rectified by at least giving us a refund for the subscription we wasted over the past weeks. If you attach a photo of the bug happening and your system details, then there’s no reason why they can’t

2 freeze/forced restarts within 5 minutes of each other this afternoon in the Vale, so the first of the bug reports was wiped out… Also lost 2 vessels trying to do Horrific Visions when the game froze, both times on the Cathedral steps… A low level (27) toon in my guild also having a rough time with his Mac crashing, so this mess permeates the game with misery…

I cancelled my account because the game is not playable. I also asked for and received a refund, citing this issue/post. The issue is well documented, and is referenced in the official “known issues” for the expansion.

Can you show me where it is listed in the known issues? Because I cannot find anything citing what you just said.

Whether or not it’s on there let’s just hope blizzard didn’t didn’t quit on working on the fix.

Are most of you playing on the iGPU or a DGPU? Playing on the iGPU even on the Core-i9 MacBooks is not a terrific idea, even in Windows.

A lot of people are on machines that have no discrete GPU and are stuck with the IGP. That’s one of the bigger problems. Apple laptops with discrete GPUs cost a lot more than the lower tier models with only IGPs. The Mac Tax is quite real and makes a difference in which models people can afford a lot of the time. :frowning:

This is true of Windows laptops too. An ASUS ROG “gaming” laptop with anything above an iGPU will cost you upwards of $2200.

We really are their QA dept now and they are just pushing out trash. Blizzard used to stand for quality and it wouldn’t ship until it was polished and perfect. I already won’t but Activision games with their ship now fix whenever they get to it. Lumping Blizzard I’m with that model now. Sad to know such a great company no longer cares. Time to find a game that actually works.

Tfw no blue post for 3 days kekw

During testing of 8.3 the issues was reported, Still they pushed it out because they had a set date to do so and figured it would not matter.

Jan 14th. 8.3 drops Tuesday, reported issues. Blizzard started take information but did not look at it in their systems in hopes few had issues.

Jan. 15th. Wed, tons more report issue and Blizzard gets to work in late afternoon.

Jan. 16th. Thursday, they are able to see the issue and create a fix.

Jan 18th. Saturday, issue is reported fixed by team and was tested. They report they have a fix, just do not know when to apply the fix.

Jan 21th. Tuesday, one week later. After other work in the late day they drop fix. After users complain it is taking too long. The fix does not work.

Jan. 22nd. They report they understand then stop speaking because it is better to blow it off and move on.

Jan. 26th. Not one word from Blizzard on a fix, since the 22nd. More players reporting issues.

I have at this point deemed the freezings to be a feature of 8.3. To test wows users to see if they are insane enough to play because my god this is bad. The freezing is so bad my windowed “work around” now just [blacks out the game screen and again freezes my MacBook

Lookup markmetlerjr on imgur since I can’t post a link here…

I got a new error message while I was completely frozen in an island.

Please fix and communicate with us about the issue with the intel graphics cards on Mac.
