Yup this is killing me too, I can’t even run old content for mounts without freezing and crashing, and I just upgraded to BfA with the Shadowlands preorder but so far haven’t even tried any new content because I know whats gonna happen. Hopefully they fix this soon…
THIS WILL HELP we have 700 people here I think we can start tweeting this on @BlizzardCS (https://twitter.com/BlizzardCS)
We can explain there about how hundreds of us were cheated of money and opportunity and maybe suggest other MMORPGs like Guild Wars or Final Fantasy there…
Key think to note is that they are still not warning Mac users about the trouble. Which they knew on launch week itself… guys who purchased in last couple of days can easily sue in small claims court that blizz willfully hid the fact. at least get your 15 dollars back!
SOLVED
I just wanted to raid with the guild…
Come on Blizzard, where is your daily post, other than Sunday, where you tell us you know about the issue and have a fix, but you are just too busy to do the fix.
Heck, you could have given any person from this form the fix and within 30 min could have fully told you if it was good or not.
u can sue if you can prove that they knowingly sold a broken product in a small claims court
PTR users have said the issue was reported before it was dropped to the rest of us.
Tried to do the Call of the Scarab event today. The client froze the first time I was fighting more than one mob. Gave up on that.
Just canceled my subscription. After playing in multiple xpacs it all comes to an end. Sad how little effort was made by blizzard. Auction house mail took priority over my ability to play the game after Ive poured hours and hours and hundreds of dollars into a video game. I hope y’all get the fix! Good luck!!!
This is Day 8 where I am unable to complete the Magni quest line making 8.3 unplayable. Same issue as before my MacBook Pro will crash at stage 6 or 7 of retaking the forge. Also, any group content including non instanced world groups ie Bee events in stormsong cause my laptop to crash completely.
Here again is my tech specs
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13 inch Early 2015)
2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
8gb 1867 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB
Version 10.15.2 (19C57)
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
Every few seconds or minutes, my game will become frozen, I won’t be able to switch windows until the freeze is over, and then it will happen over and over again. Been stuck in Uldum for two nights not being able to move without crashing my game. I’m getting consistent things crashing my entire compute too, like the Kael’thas fight in Tempest Keep. Even with graphics all the way down, no addons, and no other windows open, WoW will become unresponsive and even crash my entire computer to reboot half the time.
Frustrated and sad
An update has been pushed to version 8.3.0.33095
. This should include the hotfix to resolve the stability issues with MacOS systems after the 8.3 patch. If you are not receiving an update, please try fully closing the Blizzard Application and reopen the application. This should push the update to you.
Please let us know if you are continuing to experience issues or if the issues have subsided after the update. Thank you for your patience throughout this time!
so far so good, but we will see.
It still as to be on the lowest setting. I was on 3 but now it needs to be on 1 and it is still running hot. So not fully fixed.
Change everything I said, it started doing it all again with in 10 mins. froze the whole system and locked me out. Had to force restart. You did not fix anything.
Updating now - will respond here when in-game. Thank you.
Please let us know
Not sure what you think you fixed with this push…however I can say it didn’t resolve the issue. In trying to do the vale quest after the push - game freeze/lockups x8, causing deaths x5…so no, you fixed nothing.
So far so good for me after the ~100MB update… will report back any issue.
UPDATE: Everything was fine for about 30-40 minutes… went to The Chamber of Heart then within about 30 second the game froze for a good 20 seconds, then came back for about 10 seconds, then froze again for another 20 seconds, then the whole system crashed.
Here is my error log (it is different from the one I was getting before):

Hi, I have the exact issue. Last week when 8.3 released I was able to do all free world/ open-world content without interruption, but now I cannot log into the game for more than literally 30 seconds before the lag freeze happens (rainbow mouse) rotating this every 5-10 seconds. I have noticed it does not matter where I am located.
Im at work right now , in distraught at the fact that the game is still not working. We need emergency maintenance on this issue. Its absurd we have to wait until next week. Blizz plz wtf are yal doing?!
Agreed, I cannot login without experiencing instant lag freeze leading to immediate shutdown. It use to be only instanced content (dungeons, island expeditions), but now its everywhere I go and now I ignore WOW because it is literally crashing my computer upon entering the world.
Checked. It wasn’t fixed, we were scammed!
