i cant seem to be able to figure out what im doing wrong here…i have a tailor, blacksmith, alchemist, and leatherworker all of witch can not seem to get any workorders to appear in my crafting orders section of the professions tab. i am at a table in the artisians market…but when i select the crafting orders tab it is completely empty. this is for ALL my professions. all my characters have trained to the max with their respective trainers…cant do this with a level 70 char. level 60 or anything between. i have trivial quests enabled…just in case theirs a quest to unlock…but none are showing. wowhead and icyveins have how to create these orders, but no topics to cover all orders missing or un viewable. any help…um direction…would be greatly appreciated! thank you have a great day!
First: did you try clicking search? For some reason (at least for me) nothing will show up otherwise.
If that didn’t change anything it could just be there aren’t any orders atm.
Probably there just isn’t any orders. I’ve literally only seen one order and that was weeks ago.
lololol of course AFTER i wrote this post i saw search. but unfortunatly none are ava. now…thank you!
You’re welcome! I was confused at first too.
most people use direct personal orders ive noticed.
so i am beating a dead horse here… but theirs no other way to level up professions w/o crafting orders and quests…my lw is at 60 and all patterns are grey…no points.
I have never done crafting orders of any kind.
But, you should have access to more recipes that provide skillups. My LW is currently at 75 skill and I’m just awaiting gathering more Primal Chaos to finish leveling up to max.
Yeah it’s unfortunately very very slow to rank up professions if you aren’t already top tier/camping trade chat all day.
Dark moon faire starts soon and you get (I believe) +3 levels with that. Using your sparks of inspiration you can also craft your own gear that has the first time bonus and such. That’s what I’ve been doing.
But yeah, the system really isn’t great. If you have any suggestions on how to improve it, you can always post in the Professions forum or us the in game suggestions feature.
While there are rep bound recipies that might allow you to grind up at great cost this was not how blizz envisioned people levelling.
They assumed there would be far far more orders in the public system and that any crafter that wanted to could over a few weeks complete levelling though public orders. This has proved to be shall we say “Overly optomistic”.
How do we know they expected more orders? well they added features like a 20 crafts a week cap, and an auto calculate the tip function that only works if there is a constant stream of orders sitting waiting to be fulfilled.
Sadly they found they miscalculated supply and demand by a factor of over 100 and have had to scramble to try and generate orders and limit how many public orders people could do. This is coupled with a general reluctance on the part of the general public to order anything less than top rank gear so recrafting is only used for those items it is literally impossible to guarantee at rank 5 out of the gate.
AWESOME JOB!!! um ok where did you get the recipies…drops? my trainer has nothing more for me to learn …from him.
if you scroll down your recipe list on the left side, there will be a number of greyed out recipes. You can click them and then there will be a yellow “recipe unlearned” just above the reagents that will show you the location of the recipe when you mouse over it. Some recipes are drops, some are from reps. Make sure you have “Show Unlearned” checked in the filter button near the top of the list as well.
Hambrick has given you excellent advise on where to find more recipes. I would also suggest looking at your AH to see what is listed there.
ok totaly seen…but why would i spend 95000 gold for a recipie? every day i go to check to see if theirs any orders i can fill…zero ziltch nata…this game beat the love for professions right tf outta me. so not really a question but just a statement of my disdane. and whats even more entertaining is the responces this post will get…BWEAHAHAHAHAHA
