Crafting Ingredients Stuck In crafting Order Pre-Placed

Hi, I hardly ever use crafting orders, so I’m not sure if this is typical behavior or a bug.

I was trying to place a public crafting order for a Jeweled Sapphire Whelping.

  1. I put all the materials into the crafting order except for the main Bind on Pickup (BOP) part. I mistakenly thought the crafter would supply that.

  2. When I tried to place the order, the system correctly told me I needed to add the BOP item.

  3. I went and got the BOP item, but I got it on my alt. (That BOP item is also stuck on my alt, of course).

  4. My plan was to get my original materials out of the crafting order on my main character, put them in my Warband bank, and then have my alt (who has the BOP item) place the craft.

  5. Here’s the problem: My original materials are now “stuck” in the crafting order interface on my main character. I can’t place the order (because I don’t have the BOP item on this character), but I also can’t find a way to cancel it or get my materials back.

Is this typical? How can I get my materials out of the pending order so I can move them to my alt?

The system should not have allowed you to place the order at all. It shouldn’t have taken your materials for an order that cannot be placed. The icons in the order don’t indicate that the mats are sent, just what mats you intend to use. An order that is not placed doesn’t take your mats at all. The mats are removed only once the order is sent.

weird the disappeared out of my bag but are still available to craft with

Ah. Check your bank reagent tab (s) and warband bank. They’re in there somewhere probably.
