After S4 I’m not sure if Blizzard is capable of handling recycled old dungeon.
Such endeavor is clearly beyond them.
I mean, I like variety but they gonna screw up like they did with Karazhan.

There’s so many dungeons already in the game, and be honest when’s the last time you did them?? Years??? Timewalking once every six months? It’s still content that blizzard can use. I don’t like the idea of ‘whelp expansions over, all the hard work the blizz team did creating that dungeon is now completely useless’ let’s spend more resources for more inevitable useless content.’ It’s been that way for a very long time and I’m glad they are changing that.
Besides we’ve known this info for a while.
There’s 8 new dungeons in DF :
What if the dungeons are really, really good?
You are free to draw the line whenever you want Op, what ever is a deal breaker to you is valid and you have the right to stop playing.
It’s a good change, it makes sure the seasons feel different.
hov is awful
Was going to say. I wonder if the max level ones won’t be tailored so much for Mythic+ design.
Pretty sure there’s no paced released, all 8 will be available day 1.
Just not in the Mythic+ pool.
None of the dungeons are BRD. You are never going to have an “intentionally bad” dungeon made by Blizzard ever again most likely… They’re all pretty much great aside from Uldaman, and even Uldaman, while bad, is still “designed” with M+ in mind being a no-more-than-5 boss dungeon with standard trash pulls breaking things up between standard dungeon bosses.
“Designed for M+” just means “well-designed, solid dungeons that are fun for the vast majority of players”.
Invalid argument.
The content isn’t created for X amount of users. That doesn’t make any sense for a DIGITAL game. You’re not printing Monopoly boards.
Once the content is created, 100 people can play it, or 100 BILLION people can play it. The limiting factor is servers, not content.
The size of the team doesn’t scale with subscription-base. Not for CONTENT. You might change that size for TIME constraints. But a small team can create PLENTY of content (we have 18 years of proof for this) and it’s just copy-pasted to each server for, literally, an INFINITE number of players.
Number of dungeons was changed for a different reason-- pacing of content. People just refuse to admit: NOT ALL TIME GATES ARE BAD.
I know my experience in S4 affirmed my belief that a slow-release of content gives me more time to learn it, than to let the no-lifers just run away from everyone, only to just COMPLAIN EVERY DAY.
Four dungeons at launch is a good thing, but it has nothing to do with the SIZE of the dev team. It’s about pacing.
This is a good point, but I haven’t actually seen it addressed.
How ARE they doing it? All I’ve heard is the 4 new + 4 old.
But @Raiimir is right-- it could be all 8 new, just that only 4 are for M+.
Has this been officially addressed?
Is only 4 new dungeons in a season really a big deal?
I’m hoping we get some more BFA dungeons in the season pools at some point.
Waycrest Manor, Motherlode, Atal Dazar.
Really any of the BFA dungeons aside from Tol Dagor, Siege of Boralus, Kings Rest, and Shrine of the storms. They need some retuning.

this makes absolutely no sense - how could we ever have something other than the current system for party size?
add another tank? add another healer? that doesn’t change the core of m+ if that’s what ur explaining.
When we do, they don’t even do it. It’s always the players complaining about lack of Solo challenging content with good rewards that don’t have Mad World.
Didn’t even go and get their free 470 gear in BfA.
I’m telling u man people just want to change things to fit their narrative - which is fine, but realistically nothing about m+ changes in it’s core elements if u add another healer / tank / another dps.
It’s a little funny because we’ve had cases in recent expansions where older tier items are still really strong and better than later tier items and the player response seems to hate that.
Examples like Edge of Night, Old Warrior Sole, Veinripper, and other trinkets from SoD outclassing SotFO items.
In BFA we had Diver, razer coral, and font out classing Ny’alotha items.
And people seemed more annoyed by this as bad itemizing of the new raids, not an awesome way to keep old content relevant.
8 new dungeons, that can all be run on normal / heroic / m0, with 4 of them having m+ versions along with 4 legacy dungeon m+. Similar to right now in season 4, as you can go run any SL m0 for 262 loot but they just don’t have m+.
