Both are awesome especially dipped in melted butter and a side of Filet Mignon or other steak. But I prefer lobster over crab. Easier to cut and eat too.
Neither bottom feeders are horrible meals the necessity of butter should be a red flag.
Lobster > Crab!
If it’s Alaskan king crab then I think it beats lobster which don’t get me wrong I also love.
The Alaskan king crab meat has a rich sweet flavor no butter required.

Disappointed this thread is not about which species is cooler intrinsically instead of as food. I think lobsters are cool but find shellfish as food to be kind of gross. I guess crab edges it out in that there’s more ways to eat it that don’t involve directly cracking the shell and sucking the innards out of an invertebrate. For all I know lobster might taste amazing but I can’t get past the whole dissecting-and-eating-a-giant-sea-bug.
same, have tried them so many times and really wanted to like them. Bleh, give me gulf shrimp any day.
Me and my girl went to red lobster on Easter and I had gotten a 3 pound lobster , first lobster I’ve ever had and I gotta say I wasn’t disappointed. Though I think crab is still the best.
If you leave in the north eastern United States, get lobster. If you live in the north western United states, get crab (KING crab). If you live anywhere else, explore different options. I have lived in both, and have strong opinions about this stuff.
Steak or fried chicken. Land based all the way.
It kinda is but it’s still good, crab is definitely better though.
I dislike seafood, go for some pizza.
I’d say lobster. I think the crab might still be busy fighting Rarity.
